Bernard Da Costa

[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Bernard Da Costa, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 172.162.88.204 13:46, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Trombi.com

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Trombi.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Andante1980 (talk) 12:23, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Stayfriends.de

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Stayfriends.de, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Jonnie d smith (talk) 10:53, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

advice

[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I think the article above clearly asserted notability,so I did not delete it. However, it is unlikely to be kept as is , because it fails to give any 3rd party independent reliable published sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases) to show notability--this are going to be ncessary--the notability must be proven, not just asserted. I'd advise you to add this very quickly, before it gets nominated for regular deletion.

Trombi.com still has problems with sourcing. The rating must be sourced to an independent published source also. Again, I'd advise you to add this very quickly, for I am not at all sure it will survive regular deletion.
I also note that you seem to have a WP:Conflict of interest with the subjects of the articles. you would do well to read our Business FAQ, which is applicable to your situation, and also our guide to writing Wikipedia articles.DGG (talk) 11:14, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Incidentally, if you care to rewrite Bernard Da Costa with fuller content, including a list of his plays, and sourced information for where they were produced and published, there is no rule against reinserting an article. But make sure it is adequate. At enWP we do not assume notability unless it is actually demonstrated. DGG (talk) 11:17, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Trombi.com has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
