Note about your Wikipedia work for UTA Libraries
[edit]I'm sorry I forgot to mention this during our Wikipedia training session last week, but I wanted to let you know you should put a note with something like "I edit Wikipedia as part of my work for the University of Texas at Arlington Libraries" (feel free to word it however you like) on your user page in line with Wikipedia's paid-contribution disclosure policy.
On my talk page, I accomplish this by writing "I'm Michael Barera, an archivist at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA)...I am currently both uploading digitized materials to Wikimedia Commons and adding them, where appropriate, to Wikipedia articles as part of my work for UTA." You don't have to be this specific but you do need to disclose your relation to UTA and that Wikipedia editing is part of your work.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Happy editing! Michael Barera (talk) 13:04, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
