- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
Savelugu
[edit]Please stop adding this text to that article without providing reliable, secondary sources to support it. It's a rather large content addition with no sourcing to support it. We need sources for it. Further, even if there were sources it would need to be fundamentally rewritten. As it was written, it read like an essay rather than an encyclopedia article. I have reverted your change. Seek consensus on the talk page of the article first before attempting this again. If you have questions, ask. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:26, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
The same issues apply to what you added to Kingdom of Dagbon. I've removed your additions there as unsourced as well. Further, you deleted a section on geography without explanation. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:29, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to make unconstructive edits to Wikipedia using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or another application using such a technology), as you did at Savelugu, you may be blocked from editing. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 14:58, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- If your "father is the king of Savelugu" as you claim, you obviously have a conflict of interest and should be proposing edits at Talk:Savelugu rather than directly editing the article, anyway. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 15:01, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
I have blocked you for a week from editing the Savelugu article due to persistent addition of unsourced content despite warnings. Your refusal to acknowledge the warnings and insistence on continuing this behavior is not acceptable. If, after the block, you continue this behavior or you continue this behavior on other articles, the next block will be considerably longer and will be site wide. --Hammersoft (talk) 01:51, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
