Request reason:

Hello ST47, I'm new to Wikipedia so please bare with me. I am not a sock puppet as this is my only account on Wikipedia. I volunteer in my free time for the same organization as HDHBapji and the other users that were banned in this investigation. Recently, the leader of our organization (HDH Bapji) had passed away and while browsing through Wikipedia, I came to learn that User:Sahitya.assist was working on an article about HDH Bapji. My intention was to help them as their mother tongue is not English (we live in different countries and I don't know most of them) and this was the purpose of my account's creation. I was unable to make any edits to the articles before everything got deleted (this is why I didn't get a chance to declare my COI). I did however make a comment on one of the talk pages of User_talk:Sahitya.assist to inquire about whether they required my assistance or not. My IP address (from the comment) appears as a proxy because I actually wrote that at my workplace where we use an internal network. I understand why you have banned me but, it's my request that you provide me with another chance and I would appreciate it if you could provide suggestions for avoiding such issues in the future. Thanks! --Anadimukta (talk) 00:33, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You have essentially declared that you have indeed violated WP:MEAT. Additionally, your claim that you didn't get a chance to declare your COI is laughable. You had three months from the time you registered your account until the time you were blocked. Please tell people in your workplace to stop setting up accounts. Unless and until HDHBapji is unblocked, we don't want you working together to evade that block. Yamla (talk) 11:26, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello Yamla, I respect your decision and do admit to my mistakes. Although my account was registered for 3 months, I didn't actually get around to making any edits due to a lack of time (which is also why I didn't really know about declaring COIs as I didn't research into Wikipedia policies). However, I do agree with you that it is laughable and entirely my fault. One thing I would like to clarify is that my workplace is different than the organization I volunteer at. I just want to request that you remove the IP ban (which is on my workplace's IP) as it's entirely separate from this issue and no one else from my workplace is involved in this matter. I will surely inform the other members of the organization that I volunteer at to stop creating new accounts. Either way, I will respect whatever decision you make as I have indeed violated Wikipedia policies. Thanks! --Anadimukta (talk) 16:45, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Not really an unblock request and unblocking the IP would open the door to further problems.-- Deepfriedokra 21:42, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In response to the following,

You recently declined my unblock request. I understand that my unblock request wasn't really an unblock request and apologise for that. However, you did mention that unblocking the IP address would cause more problems. I would appreciate it if you could elaborate a bit more on that matter.

Well, it should be obvious that it might open the door to more socking or other problematic edits. My impression was that this is related to a WP:UPE farm. I see by the block summary that this impression may have merit. Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/HDHBapji would have more information.-- Deepfriedokra 22:09, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
