November 2023

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Amylamentillo, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Nightowlanime (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Other possible meat/socks might include: 103.36.19.109, UltimatumPH and 172.58.27.201. SparklyNights (t) 03:10, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I am not in anyway connected to SparklyNights. As per review, UltimatumPH is being handled by an editorial staff of Manila Bulletin — the publisher of the book Night Owl. I will ask them to provide the appropriate disclosures. Amylamentillo (talk) 03:45, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Are you connected to Nightowlanime? Is there anyone else making edits related to you on Wikipedia that we should know? Are those IPs that I mentioned above related to you or someone associated with you in any way? (You don't need to specifically disclose whom the IPs belong to, you can just say "yes" or "no" to indicate that those IPs were being used in coordenation with your edits.)
Also, Sparklynights is me, that's my signature, so I'm not accusing you of being connected to any account that has that name. SparklyNights (t) 04:34, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I'm coordinating with my publisher. They're also facilitating the translations of the pages. I only gave them the basic information. Will revert within 24 hours. Thanks Amylamentillo (talk) 05:25, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nightowlanime is also an affiliate username. I was informed they're also facilitating the translation to Bisaya, Ilokano, Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese and Italy. The project was assigned to different editorial staff. Thanks Amylamentillo (talk) 05:52, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Ilokano translation was also included by our editorial staff: https://ilo.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Owl:_A_Nationbuilder%27s_Manual
We would appreciate guidance on how to disclose COI properly Amylamentillo (talk) 06:26, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, but in that case you will probably have to disclose that information in the Ilokano Wikipedia. This right here is the English-language Wikipedia and it does not have much jurisdiction over what happens in that other wiki. SparklyNights (t) 06:30, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Copy on this. Would appreciate any inputs on how to properly cite COI so I can forward to publisher. Thanks Amylamentillo (talk) 06:34, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Nightowlanime per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nightowlanime. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
