User talk:Amyl1997
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Amyl1997, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! Cabayi (talk) 14:44, 3 November 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm JalenFolf. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to EENA-112 have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Jalen Folf (talk) 18:50, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi JalenFolf, thanks for your feedback, it is much appreciated. We're a non-profit association and I based the content on the structure from other charity wikipedia pages - Save the Children for example. Would I get approval if I used some news articles about us rather than just our own website? :) Thank you! 2A02:C7F:56CF:6700:69B6:4CB6:8661:36F6 (talk) 07:07, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
The content you added was copied from another website, and thus was a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy. Please don't add copyright material to Wikipedia. — Diannaa (talk) 20:47, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Diannaa, this content is from our own website and I am the copyright holder. Is it still not ok to share because of that? And would rewriting help? Thank you so much for your help. 2A02:C7F:56CF:6700:69B6:4CB6:8661:36F6 (talk) 07:03, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- Copying material from another website is almost never OK. Either you're violating the website's copyright, or releasing the copyright so that anybody can do as they wish with it, or placing the organisation's view of itself on Wikipedia in Wikipedia's voice. Wikipedia is not an extension of the organisation's website. Any Wikipedia article should be based on the outside world's view of the organisation, grounded in citations from reliable, verifiable, independent sources. The organisation also needs to satisfy the notability thresholds for organisations. Cabayi (talk) 15:00, 3 November 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to EENA-112. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Jalen Folf (talk) 13:42, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi {{JalenFolf}}, I have rewritten the content to be objectively neutral and included only external sources regarding EENA's work. They are a non-profit organisation and there is no advertising/promotion. Can you please advise me as to why the entire page has been removed? I don't understand how things such as the founding date or website address are considered advertising or promotion as these are also on the pages of other non-profits. Thank you. hi, I am just pinging you here (I think I did it incorrectly the first time) Amyl1997 (talk) 13:56, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 14:46, 3 November 2022 (UTC)

Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Amyl1997 (talk) 15:16, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
I contacted Wikipedia for advice on page publishing, and was told that I can make a draft on my own userspace and tag an editor who will then review the content for me and offer some advice. I did this and tagged the editor who responded to me.
- I have removed the tag. However, you need to use one of the Template:Reply to templates, such as ping| to actually tag an editor. GPL93 (talk) 15:36, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, I have done so now :) Amyl1997 (talk) 15:38, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- I have moved your draft to Draft:EENA. Before making any other edits, you should now read WP:PAID and make the required declarations on your userpage and on the draft's talk page.
- I have deleted and salted the redirect at EENA-112 as you assert it is causing real-life confusion, imperilling life. Cabayi (talk) 16:05, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- ahem, "make the required declarations ... on the draft's talk page". Cabayi (talk) 13:28, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- sorry, now on both my talk page and the draft talk page :) Amyl1997 (talk) 13:36, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
