More specifics?[edit]

Thank you. I would aporeciate more specifics about what is wrong so that I can fix it. Thank you. Amy Amybpt (talk) 13:37, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

For starters, it needs much better sourcing. All content needs to be verifiable by reference to independent, secondary sources, and these should be linked throughout the article to the statements they support by use of footnotes. You should always avoid vague resume-like statements such as "guest lecturer to various international conferences" and only mention things that are notable and can be properly sourced. Once you have done some more work on the article, you should use the articles for creation process to submit it for review and you can then receive specific feedback and advice before it is approved to be in the main encyclopedia. It is also worth mentioning that if you have any relationship or connection to the person you are writing about, you may have a conflict of interest and if so you must follow the relevant guidelines, including declaring this. Thank you, Melcous (talk) 14:07, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.[edit]

This is a direct translation of the hebrew page about eli carmeli. How does one declare knowing the person who is subject of the page? I appreciate your help. Amy Amybpt (talk) 14:25, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You can make the declaration on your user page - I will put a link below to the basic conflict of interest guidelines, click on the link "DISCLOSE". Note also that the different language versions of wikipedia do often have different guidelines and rules so you need to familiarise yourself with the ones where at English wikipedia for this article.
