You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Amyra Dastur requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. AllyD (talk) 06:57, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted article

[edit]

Hi! I just saw your note. The reason I deleted it was because you didn't have anything on there that established why she is notable or passes WP:GNG. Just working as an actress and model is not enough to give notability to a person, not even if they've worked in commercials for notable brands. It just makes it more likely that there would be coverage in reliable sources. You have to show notability by way of coverage in reliable sources such as newspaper articles, news shows, and the like. Things such as an IMDb page, her own webpage, blog entries, and rumors aren't enough to show notability. Out of goodwill I've created a copy of the article in your userspace. Now as far as the movie role goes, that can't count towards her notability because you say that it's rumored. The other big thing is that having a movie role only gives absolute notability (that it would keep on that basis alone) if the role is so big and notable that it would keep on that basis alone. For example, Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter is an example of a role that has that much notability. Ms Dastur's role looks to be a somewhat minor one, so this might count towards notability but we can't keep it on that basis alone.

In any case, you can find a copy at User:Amogh0990/Amyra Dastur. The only thing I ask is that you not move this to the mainspace until someone else can verify that she passes WP:NACTOR. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:00, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
