Re: Translations

Hi Amit6! I am not versed in Christianity or Catholicism, so some of the translations may not be what you'd generally use. Some of these positions have articles on the Hebrew Wikipedia so I took the names from there:

Hi! Sorry for late reply. I'm not a high level user of Arabic who can help in translations. And I saw that you already got it translated. :) --Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 09:21, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello, well, I posted the translations on my page when I saw them, I don't know where you got those but you can compare. ThyArmageddon (talk) 16:51, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Image attribution

Please note that any image that is not public domain requires attribution; this attribution is typically provided by providing a link to the image description page - so one should not link to a different page when the image is not public domain. Thank you, –xenotalk 18:09, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

FishBase

Can you please stop changing FishBase links so indiscriminately? The template you've usually been changing is meant for use with subspecies and taxa with problematic taxonomy (only infrequently the taxa that are the subjects of articles), so changing it to be a simple external link to the page of the article title makes no sense. —innotata 14:45, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

And with species {{FishBase species}} should be used if FishBase is a reference, not an external link. —innotata 14:47, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Page titles

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Vicariate Apostolic of Natal a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Apostolic Vicariate of Natal. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. R'n'B (call me Russ) 17:14, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

It also looks like you have done a lot of other redirecting of pages over the past day or two, and it is difficult for me to tell which ones might be cut-and-paste moves; please list any such at the "repair holding pen" page linked above. Thank you. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 17:16, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Modular kiln

Hey, Since a while, I had the idea of a modular kiln/forge design (see http://www.appropedia.org/Modular_kiln ). I was wondering whether you could give me some info on how to design it. Hopefully, we can attain something useful in the end. 91.182.245.136 (talk) 12:28, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Announcement

Hello! I'm The Arbiter, one of the coordinators for WikiProject Zoo. I am proud to announce the launch of a new portal: Portal:Zoos and Aquariums! ZooPro, ZooFari, and I worked hard to create a new portal for information on zoos, aquariums, and the associated projects and articles on Wikipedia. If you could head on over, take a look at our work, and maybe learn some more about zoos and Wikiproject Zoo, it would be great! Cheers and Happy Editing!

List of large mosques

Hi Amit6,

I undid your edit as I'm pretty sure it was the Faisal Mosque article that was wrong... There's a thread at the bottom of Talk:Faisal Mosque that might be of interest. Wikipedia articles can't cite other Wikipedia articles per WP:CIRCULAR.

Cheers, Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 12:15, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

No worries... With 56 policies and hundreds of guidelines, I doubt there's anyone anywhere who knows everything. Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 13:21, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

1950 FIFA World Cup

Are those goal averages referenced? It's seems odd that SPain, who scored a total of six goals across three matches would have a goal average of 6. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:51, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

And do you have a source or is it WP:OR? You may respond here. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 07:05, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.

For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:21, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
