I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of people named Gurung. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Speedy deletion of Sarah Gurung
[edit]A tag has been placed on Sarah Gurung, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Hitro 18:17, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. I have left proper reason for every nomination for Deletion. Please refer to those.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Sarah Gurung, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. —Salmar (talk) 18:38, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Semi-protection
[edit]Adding the semi-protection "lock" to articles doesn't do anything by itself. Only administrators can semi-protect articles; the lock is placed there only to show that it is semi-protected. Adding it when the article is not protected is misleading and confusing. If you wish an article to be protected, go to Wikipedia:Requests for protection. Thank you. —Salmar (talk) 18:40, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Basanti Gurung
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Basanti Gurung, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of "Richa Ghimire"
[edit]A page you created, Richa Ghimire, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Speedy deletion of Namrata Shrestha
[edit]A tag has been placed on Namrata Shrestha requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement [www.geocities.com/suresthamohan/top-5-models.htm and nepalimodels.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html]. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hitro 19:49, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Namrata Shrestha and Richa Ghimire. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. re:Rekha Thapa
[edit]Instead of arguing with me try to improve the article, the most of the article what you created do not follow the guidelines for new articles. Your articles are promotional in tone or are copyrighted infringement. Most of the article you created have been deleted because it was not "OK". And for your Information, Google hit does not make any given fellow Encyclopedic. Hitro 06:05, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Hitrohit2001

Notability
[edit]Hello, Amir Gurung ...
Please allow me to introduce myself ... I came across your message(s) on Some Other Editor's talk page, and thought that I would answer some of your questions.
- Notability is defined in Wikipedia as …
If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be notable.
- Reliable sources are at the core of Wikipedia …
Articles should be based on reliable, third-party, published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy.
- Verifiability is another cornerstone …
Material challenged or likely to be challenged, and all quotations, must be attributed to a reliable, published source.
- In a nutshell, "If there is sufficient WP:RS that anyone can go to their local public library and WP:V the subject in multiple independent feature articles, then it is considered to be WP:N."
Unfortunately, sites like YouTube and MySpace are not considered to be reliable sources (because they do not have a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy), and popularity (e.g., Google PageRank) is not the same as notability.
Be sure to read Your first article and Ownership of articles … and be aware that if you continue to recreate the same non-notable article, you can be blocked from editing Wikipedia for disruptive behavior.

No content in Category:Gurung actors
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Gurung actors, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Gurung actors has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Gurung actors, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
