I am trying to publish my Company page description. I have tried to cut the copy to be objective and informative of the business without being promotional, is there any specific you would like to see amended?

Decline reason:

You have not proposed a new username as instructed. If you thought that what you wrote was objective, then you are far too close to your business to be able to write about it objectively. Wikipedia calls that a conflict of interest(please review) That was some of the most promotional text I have ever seen in my years here. Wikipedia is not a place for companies to tell the world about themselves. That's considered promotional; you do not have to be soliciting customers or selling something. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about(in this case) a company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. Wikipedia has no interest in what a company wants to say about itself. If your only goal here is to edit about your company, this is the end of the line for your Wikipedia career. If you want to be an individual, general contributor and edit about topics completely unrelated to your conflict of interest, please describe what those might be along with your proposed new username(follow the instructions in the block message). You wrote "a for purpose company founded with a profound sense of social responsibility. You will not be allowed to edit under this account name because it violates Wikipedia's username policy, specifically that accounts cannot represent a business. You will have to change your username to something else that represents you as an individual before any unblock request will be considered.

Also, if your only motivation is to write about your company, it is very unlikely your account will be unblocked. We have no interest in what a company's representatives want to say about it. We only care what reliable, third-party sources have chosen to publish about it. Without such coverage, the company is not notable enough for inclusion and therefore undeserving of a Wikipedia article. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 07:14, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
