Boulevard House
[edit]Hi Amelmayan, I removed a lot of text from the Boulevard House article which I suspect you spent some time writing, so I hope I can give you an explanation as to why:
- The single most important thing to remember as a wikipedia editor is that your audience is looking for a clear, concise summary of a subject when they land on an article. If an article on a subject is too detailed and long, they may find information hard to search for or contextualize. This doesn't mean removing details which are important to the subject. But it does mean being economical about what other subjects to cover.
- Further, while there may be some important connection between the house and various political systems or arguments, that's something which is best left to someone else. A good rule of thumb for situations like that: if you're writing about a small subject connected to a much larger movement or idea, check to see that the source you're referencing focuses on the small subject, not the larger idea. This way we're not adding our interpretation to the page.
- Remember, great wikipedia articles can be and are short! A 900 word article clearly covering a subject is much more valuable to a reader than something which is much longer but mentions every detail.
