Subject: Tenet

[edit]

Hello there, AmblinX. I notice that you have sent me a warning stating that I have been doing disruptive editing. You have to understand that several movies originally scheduled for release in 2020 have been pushed back to 2021. I believe that Tenet will not be disappearing from movie theaters any time soon.

Looking forward to hearing from you again very soon. - 1996Larry, 11:08, 6 October 2020 (UTC).[reply]

For an underperforming film to suddenly gain 200 million dollars, after being in theaters for over a month already (and actually losing theaters weekly), is a ridiculous suggestion. With all do respect. It's a completely unsubstantiated theory. -  AmblinX  11:24, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reply: I get what you are saying, AmblinX, but I firmly believe that Tenet will not be a box office flop. Stay positive and look forward to the future. - 1996Larry, 11:32, 6 October 2020 (UTC).[reply]

I accept your edit to include both "3rd highest grossing" AND "break even". This way it is not misleading. If only one is included it is highly misleading to the reader, who doesn't understand/know that the studio only gets about 50% of box office money.  AmblinX  14:46, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —C.Fred (talk) 17:43, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Unjustifiable block for factual contributions with multiple sources. Wikipedia is such a valuable thing being taken over by marketing employees and pr firms who destroy free accurate information for a small amount of money. It's such a shame that soon there will be no place left for unbiased factual information anywhere. Tenet (Film): Only mentioning "3rd highest grossing movie of 2020" in the article, when the movie is LOSING the studio hundreds of millions of dollars is highly misleading and pure marketing. My (one sentence) contribution has multiple highly reliable sources (Time Magazine, Reuters, Vulture...) and is purely factual, but of course not liked by the marketing team. AmblinX 18:01, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You weren't blocked for "factual contributions with multiple sources", you were blocked for edit warring. It is your edit warring that you will need to address for any appeal to be considered. Please read WP:GAB.18:12, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Jezebel's Ponyobons mots

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
