Greg Gianforte

[edit]

Let's try and figure out a compromise on Greg Gianforte and not revert war about it. Talk:Greg Gianforte. —Guanaco 02:56, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm ok with compromise. But this is the biography of a living person. The content should not be added while discussions are taking place.Amberwaves (talk) 02:58, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Tread carefully there. You may not qualify for the BLP exemption to 3RR. —C.Fred (talk) 02:59, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I posted a proposal on the talk page. —Guanaco 03:00, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

How is it possible on Wikipedia that an editor can be accused of a policy violation by other editors and blocked without notification until after the fact??? Is there no due process here??

I'm accused of being a sockpuppet based on the fact that I edit the biographies of some Republican senators and sign my edits without including a space before the autosig, and that another banned editor did these things too. I don't get it.

The articles I've edited in common with CFredkin aren't that obscure, and I edit on a number of other topics. I took at look at the editors who have accused me, their overlap is incredibly high and often the timing is very similar as well. By comparison, my overlap with CFredkin is minimal.

And the fact that both CFredkin and I don't include a space before our autosigs is not exactly unique,... One of my accusers does it consistently himself...

Volunteer Marek

Decline reason:

The overlap in behaviour and article choice is extensive. Your very first edits already show a familiarity with Wikipedia's policies and jargon that would be surprising in a genuinely new editor. The rest of your unblock request is a mix of complaints about how Wikipedia works and WP:NOTTHEM. Huon (talk) 12:11, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
