This article could use more eyes on it, as it has lots of IP, etc. fanboy-like edits adding unsourced bio info, etc. Pinging MPFitz1968 and Geraldo Perez as well. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 19:19, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
Certainly, this is getting worse than when we had to deal with numerous editors filling in the end date for Best Friends Whenever last year, before there was some confirmation that Disney Channel officially cancelled it. Editors are clearly making WP:OR assumptions about that YouTube video with Butch Hartman and his mentioning of FOP being cancelled five times before by Nickelodeon, even EC editors (ex: User:Radiohist, well over 1k edits over 6+ years [1]). If I recall right in the video, Hartman never directly addressed any cancellation of FOP after he left Nickelodeon. (Will watch again to make sure.) MPFitz1968 (talk) 15:04, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- @MPFitz1968: Probably time for another semi-protection. Also, there is this that Butch Hartman later released, but per my comment on the series' talk page the other day, it still doesn't confirm anything as it could be picked right back up again and continue on either with him or with someone else. There is nothing saying this absolutely won't be like the other times. Amaury (talk | contribs) 15:15, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- Amaury, that link is to the video I'm referring to. Semiprotection will help some, but we're seeing autoconfirmed and even the one EC I mentioned making similar assumptions regarding the fate of the show. I'm not sure yet if we should post this at WT:TV for a larger discussion at the article from the other editors in the project. I saw two editors from outside our group, Dpm12 and Bang., both whom are in agreement with the current handling of the matter. May not hurt to have additional editors chime in, though I think we at least have WP:LOCALCONSENSUS. MPFitz1968 (talk) 15:35, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- @MPFitz1968: Ah, gotcha. Yeah, go for whatever you think is best. Amaury (talk | contribs) 15:45, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- Invited others in the TV project to contribute to the discussion at the article if they wish. MPFitz1968 (talk) 18:14, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

Here we go again with IP edits making assertions that the series is over - as in Nickelodeon cancelled the series by putting July 26, 2017 as the end date in the infobox - though their edits seem to be a lot more than just changing that end date. [2] (shows 2 intermediate revisions by 2 users, but that second user is MusikBot, which had to remove the semiprotection tag from the article after the IP somehow restored that). I reverted that plus another IP which changed "is" to "was" at the beginning of the lede. MPFitz1968 (talk) 14:56, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
- @MPFitz1968: I'd submit another RFPP. It's disruptive enough that we need another one. Amaury (talk | contribs) 15:17, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
- I could, but at the moment I'm thinking admins probably wouldn't grant the request with the small number of edits in the past few days. Pending changes might be the alternative, but it won't stop IPs from editing with the same disruption. If I keep seeing IPs (with different addresses) doing this over the next couple of days (similar to what happened recently at Saved by the Bell with IPs continually adding various syndication outlets that show is/has been on, but dismissed as WP:TRIVIA or WP:NOTTVGUIDE), no doubt this would be a candidate for RPP. Renewed for season 2: [3]. Incidentally, Nick also renewed The Loud House today, and greenlit a spinoff... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 22:43, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- @IJBall: Guess ratings aren't as bad as they seem. (For kids networks like Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, we can't see their targeted demographics, just the total viewers.) Amaury (talk | contribs) 00:39, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
It does look like Status Update will be released in theaters (limited release?) on March 30, based on this: [4], as per the IP's User:Vmars22's edit. This is WP:PRIMARY but it does look like the best I can do here. The only other mention of this is a JustJaredJr article from Feb. 26, but they've got the dates wrong as it looks like their article is now out of date. And it's JustJaredJr, which is pretty much WP:NOTRS in any case... Anyway, I think will now add a 'Release' section to Status Update, using this primary source. FWIW. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 20:39, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
New Nickelodeon series
Called Cousins for Life: [5] This new show seems really similar to me to Legendary Dudas, which failed for Nick, but what do I know... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:11, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
- @IJBall: Done. User:Amaury/sandbox/Cousins for Life. Amaury (talk | contribs) 00:24, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- In WP:Mainspace, I'm going to leave a redirect to the List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon article at Cousins for Life – hopefully, this time, no one will edit the redirect I create, and then we can simple overwrite it when we move your draft into Mainspace later... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 00:52, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- @IJBall: Disney Channel's turn! User:Amaury/sandbox/Fast Layne. Amaury (talk | contribs) 21:12, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think I read about that this morning. The weird thing? It's described as being a "limited series" (i.e. "closed-ended" series, or a quasi-"miniseries"). Very unusual for Disney or Nick... P.S. Gotta love Deadline's copyediting/spell-checking... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:47, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

Just tell me how are my edits to Dog with a Blog disruptive and unconstructive? I wanna hear this? The King Gemini (talk) 04:21, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
- You ignored MOS:BOLD as per WP:TVCAST, for one. Additionally, you were reverted by multiple editors and ignored that, which is pretty much the definition of disruptive. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:23, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
I guess you don't get Netflix, but Andi Mack's Lilan Bowden just showed up in an amusing The Bachelor skit on the most recent episode of The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:27, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
Why did you remove everything, including the source ratings references from the page? That's hardly fair. I made the effort to fill all of that information in, especially seeing as the season finale has just aired, see the official twitter page for the show. Esuka323 (talk) 23:10, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Esuka323: That kind of thing is actually pretty easy to restore – go to the revision history, and select the earlier version with your changes, and then copy the code for the parts of the article that were properly corrected (obviously, don't copy the parts that were the basis of the reversion), and then paste and replace just those parts of the article with the "corrected" version. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 04:15, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
By now, I assume you've seen this? – [6] If not, it's probably bad news for you (though I think it's kind of inevitable once they lost Ronni Hawk...). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 22:57, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- @IJBall: Just saw it in my Twitter DM group. Like I mentioned on GP's talk page, for Disney Channel, this doesn't surprise me too much. (Although in this case, Jenna Ortega was highly promoted by Disney Channel, and we thought they'd get S4.) The actors are contracted for three seasons, so getting a fourth season is considered a bonus since they have to renew contracts and is also why, if I recall, the titles of some shows change, such as Liv and Maddie: Cali Style, so they don't have to increase the actors' wages. Whether they get those three contracted seasons or not depends on various factors, though two seasons are guaranteed. I don't think Nickelodeon has the same thing place, though, as they've canceled/ended series after one season (How to Rock, 100 Things to Do Before High School...). Four seasons is the absolute maximum for Disney Channel as there seems to be a "rule" not to go past four seasons. However, whether three seasons seems to the new norm now, I don't know. We'll have to see if any of the current series—Bizaardvark, Andi Mack, Raven's Home—get four seasons. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:15, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- In this case, I think it's pretty clear that Disney has bigger designs on Ortega – it looks to me like they literally cancelled SitM so that they could "promote" Ortega to their coming ABC sitcom. Well, that's the way the business is run, I guess... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:19, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- @IJBall: At least there's an official announcement, unlike with other Nickelodeon and Disney Channel shows. *grumble* Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:22, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

Hey, you watch The Loud House, right? Any chance you can check on this for me? – I'm especially interested in how Griffo's character was credited (The Loud House does have proper end-credits, with character names, right?!), assuming he did appear on the show... Thanks! --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:59, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- @IJBall: I actually don't really watch it other than sometimes when there are specials—such as the "Legends" segment which was a throwback to Legends of the Hidden Temple—but I did see the promo for it, and Jack Griffo was mentioned as guest (voice) starring. There's also this. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:05, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. (Doesn't help me with the credits, though! I guess I can bust out the Nick app via Apple TV if I'm really curious... ). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 17:07, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
