Quartz crystal

Can you explain what this is a picture of? The bottom looks like the can of a HC49US crystal, but then there's a large clear object that couldn't possible fit inside the can, which is connected to the can's leads? I'm confused. Could you show the outside of the object you took apart, perhaps? — Omegatron 17:55, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
