The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Alpollak, I got your message on my talk page and saw that you successfully signed on to the course!!! Now all you have to do is write something on your user page. Since your user page hasn't been created/saved, your user name now appears as a "red link" whenever you leave a message. Once you create the user name, write something and save it, the "red link" will turn blue. Click on your user name in the menu above to start! Good work so far!
