List of Guineans
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Guineans, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of List of Guineans. Russ (talk) 15:45, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Guest9999 (talk) 15:55, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Please, review WP:STUB for guidelines as to what constitutes a minimally acceptable article. There must be sufficient content excluding external links or links to other articles in Wikipedia. Your blank, place-holder articles are not good practice and will continue to be deleted per Wikipedia's policies. Please feel free to create these articles when you have sufficient content to add to them. Do not create them without this content. Thanks! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 14:14, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hi there, please understand that we believe that your intentions are good, but your actions are ultimately more disruptive than helpful. While you are blocked I encourage you to read WP:STUB (like stated above), along with WP:LIST. Basically in a nutshell your pages seem to be being deleted because they lack enough content to be an article, meaning they generally just consist of links to other pages, which is not allowed. Please review the policy pages cited, and come back and make constructive contributions. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 14:36, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Silverback Guerillaz
[edit]A tag has been placed on Silverback Guerillaz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}

Bus connection lists on WMATA station articles
[edit]We have already discussed this matter, and the result was to remove them. Please do not re-add anything to do with bus connections without discussion. SchuminWeb (Talk) 02:02, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

- Yes, adding such an edit to an article is definite vandalism. Besides, Alphaman11 has been blocked for seven days already. I don't know how many times we have to tell these trolls to use the sandbox or their own sandbox! Hmph. MHLUtalk 01:26, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that seven-day block was the conclusion of a thought process on how to handle that. The first couple rounds of reversions on him were in the vein of politely reminding him that without discussion, his edits would be reverted because we had previously discussed the bus lists, and the result was to remove. After messaging twice and being soundly ignored on both times and the behavior continuing, I started to make a change in my faith assumption with this user. In light of the two previous blocks, I started thinking that this person might be in fact vandalizing the encyclopedia. I sent a #3 warning, and the same behavior continued. I sent a #4 warning, and the behavior continued. Blocked for 31 hours, and then considering that the last block was 31 hours, I extended it to a week.
- If Alphaman11 had simply come to a talk page to discuss this, he might still be able to edit right now. But some people are destined to learn the hard way, I suppose, and when Alphaman11 returns after the block has expired, maybe they'll change their ways. SchuminWeb (Talk) 06:37, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of List of Pace bus routes
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on List of Pace bus routes, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
