Hi, good improvement to Gurajada article. Also, have a look at WP:IUP. Definitely, wrt the Kanyasulkam DVD cover, it can be said that it is fair use only and not the tag you placed. Welcome!! --Gurubrahma 14:32, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gurajada Apparao

[edit]

Hi, please see Talk:Gurajada Apparao. You seem to be re-adding the same material again. Also, a google test suggests that the spelling "Gurajada" is more widely used than "Gurazada." --Gurubrahma 09:04, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry if I was not clear before and if you have not understood what I was saying, as a result of that. The material that you and an anon IP have been adding is about the play and not its playwright. Hence, I moved that information to the article on the play, Kanyasulkam. You may want to have a look at that. I would be reverting your addition to Gurajada Apparao as it does not fit there. Thanks, --Gurubrahma 09:14, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir,

I have gone through some of your contributions for images and all I could find was copyvio images. We cannot have non-commercial images on Wikipedia and we cannot have pictures from http://www.dudes.org/ since we are taking away that website's business by hosting the photos here. I ask you please not to upload images from there. Zach (Smack Back) Fair use policy 18:51, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are still continuing to upload images with the claim that the copyright holder has released the images for any use when this claim cannot be verified. Please stop using missleading tags. Consider this your last wrning. Wikipedia takes copyright violoations seriously. Further uploads with missleading copyright tags will result in you being blocked. --GraemeL (talk) 18:54, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked for continuing to upload images with misleading copyright information. You are welcome to continue editing after the block expires, but further incidents of misrepresenting the status of copyrighted images will lead to more blocks. --GraemeL (talk) 12:46, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked again. Please stop uploading images claiming that the copyright holder has released them for any purpose when you have no proof to back up these claims. --GraemeL (talk) 18:03, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The reason why you keep on being blocked is that you keep on trying to upload images that you do not hold the copyright for, but you are claiming that the photos are yours and that we can do what we want with them. That is not acceptable, since you are not the copyright holder, you have no rights to do whatever you want to the image. And, since the picture is not yours, you cannot tell us "oh, go ahead and use it." What you have been doing is lying about the copyrights, and we cannot have users do that here. And, as you can tell, your continuation of this have caused you to be blocked. After your block period is over, please cease uploading photos that do not belong to you. If you continue doing what you are doing, I have no choice to have you blocked indef., since what you are doing is hurtful to the project, and also illegal. Thanks for uploading Image:Tom Welling in action.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Abu Badali 18:50, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
An image that you uploaded, Image:SP1.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Unspecified source for Image:Arundhati . Roy.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Arundhati . Roy.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. GraemeL (talk) 10:56, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've previously blocked you twice for uploading images with incorrect copyright information. You have been blocked again, for one week, for continuing to provide misleading copyright information on the images you upload. If you do this again, I will block you indefinitely until such a time as you agree to stop your actions which could cause legal problems for the Wikipedia Foundation. --GraemeL (talk) 10:59, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

Vandals are destroying articles related to Andhra Pradesh, Telugu language, Telugu script and many articles related to Telugu history. These people, about eight, have ganged up and are helping each other to prevent unbiased contributions. The history of South India and even that of the whole of India is being painted as that belonged to a linguistic group. History is being re-written on the basis of a couple of books written by parchial and localized historians and a couple of websites devoted to regional agenda and chauvantic tendencies. A perusal of their contributions and citations will make my point obvious. I appeal to you to regularly visit Telugu and Andhra-relted articles and prevent vandalism by these mischief makers.Kumarrao 09:53, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

August 2008

[edit]

Thank you for your recent contributions to the Tom Welling article. While the Wikipedia community appreciates your efforts to increase the amount of information on the site, we cannot accept sources which appear to be the original work of the editor. If the material you added can be attributed to a reliable source, you may add it back if you cite it. This increases the reputation of Wikipedia as a whole and aids in the verifiability of the article. --Ebyabe (talk) 23:18, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
