Correct typos of your own previous talk posts

[edit]

Allocutus, it is acceptable to copyedit/correct typos of your own previous talk posts.

  • I usually concatenate &&+5 tildes (~~~~~) to my previous signature to log a significant copyedit

Scholars who have written a defense for the historicity of Jesus

[edit]

Please see this recently archived thread:

Yes, thank you for that, I'm much indebted.
It seems very clear that very few scholars and historians have ever even addressed the issue!
Allocutus (talk) 04:25, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And in fact it seems no historians have at all, as all these people referred to are Bible Scholars, educated at Christian institutions (mostly seminaries) and employed in a field where the objective is to determine who the "real" Jesus was, not whether he existed. No Jesus=no NT scholarship to speak of.

Per David Fitzgerald, It is possible that a scholar may be contractually obliged to publicly reject Jesus ahistoricity theory. Cf. [Fitzgerald, David (2017). “Myths of Mythicism – Bias Cut”. Jesus: Mything in Action. 1. CreateSpace. p. 62. ISBN 978-1-5428-5888-5.]
IMO, a position that requires public condemnation of such a scholar.

Gospel of Mark (intertextuality)

[edit]

FYI: I recently made a new article:

Currently it is not linked to any other article: Pages that link to "Gospel of Mark (intertextuality)"
I suspect it will be challenged when linkage does occur.
