Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Buford T. Justice has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Marcus-Nelson Murders, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lynn Hamilton (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Help Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 03:24, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Please note that Wikipedia editors are not considered reliable sources, as that would effectively enable anyone to post any information solely on the grounds of "I know this to be true." Thank you for your understanding. DonIago (talk) 12:50, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tony Stark Birthdate

[edit]

I just saw you updated the Tony Stark’s Wikipedia page recently. I think I figured out his birthdate. In Endgame, Tony and Cap return to April 7, 1970. I think this is because Tony was born on that date and his father missed it. Tony knew where his father was and punched in that date. I am not sure where the Wikipedia date comes from, but it also likens up with the end of Iron Man 3. What do you think?

My edit was a correction of the inaccurate "two years later" text that someone used to describe when Fury shows up in the end credit scene of Iron Man. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:36, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I figured that it was a different edit, but wanted to try to discuss the possibility of editing the birthday to April 7, 1970. What do you think? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noobmaster1969 (talkcontribs) 19:15, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

RE: First version of the song recorded

[edit]

While the Michael Nesmith version of 'The Girl I Knew Somewhere' definitely predates the Micky Dolenz version, there was another version of the song that dates from April 1966, as documented here. Though most people don't tend to count that version since no known recording of the song from that session has been located to this day. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:08, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Great Catch

[edit]
The Stefen 𝕋ower Great Catch Award
Thank you for your discovery of misplaced content in Interstate 264 (Kentucky). I'm smacking my head that I didn't notice that. Cheers! Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 19:53, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

September 2024

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm StefenTower. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Interstate 265, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please stop changing to unsourced statistics. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 00:48, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the map on the I-265 page, it shows 2 red sections of I-265. The larger red portion is the 24 miles mentioned in the article. The article mentions that the 24 miles includes the cyan section on the map. The cyan section is 4 miles and end at the bridge also mentioned. So it can’t be BOTH 24 miles AND include the portion that ends at the bridge. It can either be 24 miles saying it ends it I-71 instead of the bridge OR say it end at the bridge but then you would have to add those extra 4 miles from the cyan section that goes to the bridge. The exit list that shows the bridge as mile marker 38.9 and if we subtract the 10.2 mile marker distance from the first listed exit that gives us the 28.7 miles from I-65 to the bridge I’ve been trying to correct. My source is information already listed on the page. Allindsey1978 (talk) 01:06, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You need a citation from a reliable source. Until then, please do not change the statistic. Interpreting a map is considered original research. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 01:16, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Where then is the “reliable source” for the current, incorrect statistic? The two listed at the end of the incorrect mile length statement make no mention of the 24 miles. Allindsey1978 (talk) 01:34, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The citation was already there in the length table, and I just copied it over to the prose. It's from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). If you can find an RS newer or stronger than that, have at it. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 01:42, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Seems kind of arbitrary to tell me to add a source even though the current info on the page backs up what I say, yet there are several places on the page the say “citation needed” and that info is allowed to remain and isn’t removed or questioned. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:01, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See my last reply. The current info on the page does not back up what you say, and the FHWA shows the number shown multiple times in the article. You need more than a whim to change a hard stat like that. Please move on. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:04, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the article says “24.48 miles from Bridge to southern I-65 interchange” and the exit list contradicts this by saying the bridge is mile 38.9 and I-65 exit is mile 10.2. That’s 28.7 miles, not 24.48 miles. The earlier statement is including the cyan portion in the exit/bridge mile length but not including the cyan sections mile length. So despite my not offering up an RS, the page still contains contradictory info, sources or not. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:13, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm taking the FHWA RS over your OR. Always feel free to get a WP:third opinion. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:17, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The FHWA RS link mentions nothing about I-265. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:21, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
LOL. Scroll down or search on "265" on the page. Also, do you really believe a 20-year editor would be foolin' ya? Come on - do some legwork. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:24, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Considering I live minutes from I-265 and use it in my commute daily, I know that interstate pretty darn good. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:27, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Wikipedia does not consider that assertion as an RS. This is my last word on the matter until you can find an RS that backs up your claim. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:31, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It’s not a whim, it’s math, and it’s info listed elsewhere on the page. “Move on”? No I don’t think so. My points are valid, based on listed info that I am trying to “un-contradict”. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:16, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's your original research at any rate. Until you find an RS, you can't change a stat. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:18, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the article currently says "I-265 in the US state of Kentucky presently runs 24.48 miles (39.40 km) from the Lewis and Clark Bridge in northern Louisville to an interchange with I-65 in southern Louisville." That includes the cyan section, as also per the article, "The portion from I-71 to the Ohio River, while designated as I-265 by AASHTO, is only signed as KY 841." It appears you are trying to add 4 miles that are already assumed. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:01, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I’m trying to add the 4 miles that lists the distance from I-71 to the bridge that the article already mentions in the description. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:18, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The text says it's already included. And you cannot add 4 miles to an RS-based stat anyway. It's OR. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:19, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then the length should say the 24 miles stop at I-71 (where the cyan portion starts) and not the bridge. The 24 miles might be based on a (incorrect) RS source, but the bridge being the end of the 24 miles isn’t sourced that I can tell. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:24, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Egads. Until you find an RS that shows a longer length, there's nothing to do here. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:26, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Gadzooks! I’ll concede the length issue, I’m questioning the that it includes the length to the bridge. Btw, while we may be in a disagreement, your use of “egads” made me chuckle. Kudos! Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:31, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
All that questioning energy could be applied to finding an RS. Really, last word for now. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 02:32, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Everything I have tried to look up has incorrect info as well. The very same incorrect info that’s used as an RS. It’s possible that the RS used here on the page could be incorrect too. I suppose if the page for the Sun said it was purple and had an RS saying so, then I guess it’s purple. Allindsey1978 (talk) 02:46, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
