Information icon Hello, I'm GnomeSweetGnome. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Alice DiMicele, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! GnomeSweetGnome (talk) 17:02, 30 November 2017 (UTC) 'hi i am the actual person the page is about. I don't know how to do this? can you please help me learn. I want those edits saved. Alice - Please read WP:COI. You should not edit the article written about you. - UtherSRG (talk) 23:46, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

thank you. but how to i fix the problems then? i didn't edit, just added some sources for some of the information. I'm lost here. I was sent a message that I had to fix things on this. Now i'm just more confused. Alicedimicele (talk) 00:14, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was told that they were gonna delete the page if i didn't add sources. so i searched for some and added. is that bad? i didn't change any text. I tried to many years ago but learned that wasn't ok. but i was told it was ok to cite sources. i guess i'll just leave this alone. if they delete, well then its out of my hands if i'm not allowed to help. Alicedimicele (talk) 00:18, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can post on the talk page to provide information, links, etc. Yes, it is bad if you edit an article about yourself. Please, go read WP:COI, our policy on conflict of interest. You editing the article about yourself is the textbook definition of COI. - UtherSRG (talk) 00:27, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thank you. read it now. was told i had to deal with this, so was trying to. Now I know better. here is the film "Source to Sea" that was mentioned in the wiki article. it has my song Chinook Blues at the end and in the end credits. https://www.cultureunplugged.com/documentary/watch-online/play/6802/Source-to-Sea--The-Columbia-River-Swim
Here is my verified spotify page with all my albums listed, except for Live at Strawberry which was a limited edition and is now out of print. https://open.spotify.com/artist/5GTLKa7etYFhkKklJyoSgX?si=5TN5dWR5QoWbeHz1TJixOQ

I'm trying to find more things...but it's hard. i actually have articles in a box but have to dig through and they aren't online. i don't know if that will help for me to upload them I don't see a way to do that. Alicedimicele (talk) 04:03, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
here is another earth first journal from feb 2 1989 which lists my music. https://archive.org/stream/earth_first_1989/earth_first_1989_djvu.txt Alicedimicele (talk) 04:17, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please see Wikipedia:Golden rule to gain a basic understanding of what sources are required. None of the sources you list above qualify. If you find such sources, you can add them to the article even with a conflict of interest.
There are also additional criteria for musicians listed in WP:MUSICBIO. Do you meet any of those criteria?
Finally, the article is being discussed for deletion. If you like, you may participate in the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alice Di Micele. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:06, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thanks. This is all pretty much a mystery to me. I don't know who created it. I just got an email from someone who says they helped edit it many years ago saying it was up for deletion and that i was supposed to go edit it. apparently, that was bad information. I am here, in Southern Oregon at the moment. I still tour and am touring even more. My latest album Every Seed We Plant has gotten lots of airplay and attention all over Europe and states mostly on folk and indie stations. It also got reviews in different languages including Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish and English and more but I don't remember off the top of my head what other countries. If reviews mean anything I can link them. I just need to do a search on my emails from my promoter. I am not part of the major label world and in fact said no to labels back in the 80s. My latest record spent some time on the Folk-DJ chart this past year but thats not billboard and I don't know if that counts. It's been in a few indie films including one that is coming out soon that I also acted in. "Emma Was Here" by Row 211 Films. I am the first musician from Ashland, Oregon who played any big festivals (High Sierra, Strawberry Music, Kate Wolf Fest) and have been a regular at the Oregon Country fair for over 30 years. Former and current bandmates include folks I consider prominent but I'm not sure if anyone else does: Jeff Pevar (played with David Crosby, Ray Charles and more), Damian Erskine (plays with Gino Vanelli and Peter Erskine), Reinhardt Melz (Gino Vanelli), Brian West (original drummer from the Cherry Poppin Daddies and Bobby Vega (Sly & the family Stone, Etta James, Zero, KVHW.) I have no idea if that means anything towards this page. Anyways, have a great day. Whatever happens here, I'll still be out here making music and trying to make the world a little better one song at a time. I've been nominated for several awards over the years including Out Song of the Year for GLAMA (gay lesbian music awards) but i didn't take first place so that probably doesn't count.
