Re:citation

Sorry, but I'm not really the one to ask about that. I don't know much about it. You could try asking the help desk. ~Richmond96 tc 02:19, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused

[edit]

If I want to ADD an entry, do I hit Edit?

I'm looking for http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Paul_Collins_(fantasy_writer) I did a search for missing articles, deleted articles, couldn't find the procedure.

I'm working on the third party sources now, I've got the books out, I've contacted the subject to double-check that the sources are correct, but in the space of an email the article has gone.

Please see Your first article.
  1. Ensure that you have an account and you are logged in. If you don't have an account, create one
  2. Make sure the subject is notable enough to have their own article
  3. Find references
  4. Make sure no article on the subject exists under a different title by typing the subject into the search box to the left (←) and clicking 'Search'
  5. Type the page name in the search box to the left (←) and click 'Go'
  6. Click 'Create this page'
  7. Create the article, including all your references, making sure you adhere to the Manual of Style and our article layout guidelines
  8. Be aware that Wikipedia deletes thousands of new articles for failing to adhere to our policies and guidelines. New articles by new users are at extra risk of deletion, due to new users' unfamiliarity with our rules. Consider gaining experience by editing existing articles before attempting to create new ones. Please do not add links to your website, you have self identified a conflict of interest and your account is being used to link to festivale.info only, see WP:REFSPAM, which has not been identified as a reliable source. Continuing to insert links into articles may result in a block. If you wish to submit this link for inclusion in any articles please do so at the article talk pages. Cheers. I am linking to the pages that I am citing. I had the discussion about Festivale being listed as a reliable source some time ago. It is peer reviewed and information has supporting documentation on file. I have no idea what you are talking about re: submitting at article talk pages.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ali Kayn (talkcontribs)

Since you have an interest in the site you should not be linking to it en mass like you have, you were engaging in reference spamming, continuing to do so could result in a block. You should submit the link to the talk page for consideration by independent editors. Rehevkor 15:11, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of My Country (1986 film) for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article My Country (1986 film), to which you have significantly contributed, is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or if it should be deleted.

The discussion will take place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/My Country (1986 film) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

To customise your preferences for automated AfD notifications for articles to which you've significantly contributed (or to opt-out entirely), please visit the configuration page. Delivered by SDZeroBot (talk) 01:02, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Ali Kayn: in reply to your email, the article was changed into a redirect since that was the consensus reached at the discussion about it. The result was unanimous, but it would have likely been the same even if you had participated in it, assuming you presented the same arguments you presented on the article's Talk page and in the email you sent me. As for forwarding a copy of deleted material by default to contributors, that is not standard practice here. However, I should point out that nothing in this case was deleted. The entire article is still accessible right in the page's History. Owen× 10:04, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
