Helloooooo AJ

[edit]

I seeeeee youuuu

Sorry, after talking about Wikipedia I just had to see if I could find you on here. Qwerty0 (talk) 09:44, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Man btw that article on "TRG" you linked to is kinda crazy. Does not give a good impression of that place. So.. is that actually how it's viewed or is the whole page just an attack? --Qwerty0 (talk) 02:00, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You make an excellent point. I am going to work on finding legitimate research on TRG and balance out that article. People give them a horrendous wrap, and that is easy to do without snap judgment and buying into FUD hype. I have to tell you, I loved the idea of working for such a place when I heard about the Rolling Stones article the first day. Then I got to see how out of touch the rumors were with reality as I saw it. We were media analysts, not coup planners. Rendon does little to hid what he is doing on an operational level. The video I link to later proves this. However, few people got to sit with Rendon himself and hear him talk, which is often like this. Also, I personally know he and his staff were the voice of reason to high up people, and this was motivated on the topic in the video in particular by utilizing language speakers the government could not get and have them read local opinion abroad and quantify it. I wonder why they paid him so much. That's right, because that's what the USG still needs. Alharaka (talk) 01:17, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You should totally take a look if you have time. Cause I get the feeling it's really unbalanced.
I mean, there's the image of dark, CIA-type meddling via propaganda, but the article is actually accusatory in a different way. It gives the impression that Rendon is given lots of money to run campaigns that're uninformed and ineffective. And then he's still given more contracts because of his Washington connections. So... I have no idea what's accurate.

O hai thar!

[edit]

Hey, glad to see you on here. The SFS-Q article was mostly just an extension of my work on the Georgetown articles. Thought there are so few sources on the place, I did try to get it a real article. Now, why I haven't done that to the other individual Georgetown schools, I'm not really sure. Oh, and you wouldn't perchance be able to take some new (better) photos of the Education City set up there for me, now would you? The ones we have are off of Flickr, and were taken by someone on a bus tour of Doha, and you can see the reflection of the glass. Anyway, stay in touch, and enjoy Qatar!-- Patrick, oѺ 15:01, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey AJ I just had a thought. You should totally add the article for Al Haraka to your todo list cause it's a stub and wrong. I remember definitely getting confused when I first tried to look up your username and all I found was something about some newspaper. It sounds like there's a lot more to the story so go ahead and correct them! (but, uh, with references..)

I'll hand-code a signature but I'm not technically logged in cause I'm on a bus and it's the height of FireSheep hysteria. Let's see what IP shows up for this crazy mobile WiFi setup! Wheeee! --Qwerty0 (talk) 19:19, 12 November 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.217.192.227 (talk) [reply]
