A tag has been placed on Joy Countess du Lau d'Alleman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

A tag has been placed on International Beach Polo Association, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. GregJackP Boomer! 03:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!

[edit]

Hey, Alex Webbe! I noticed some of the pages you created, and I have a few things I'd like to talk to you about. First, I tagged International beach polo association for speedy deletion as a test page, as it's not the right place to ask the questions you're trying to ask. (No worries, mistakes like that happen all the time!) Second, I read what you posted on the talk page for International Beach Polo Association, and I'm sorry to say that, as it stands, the material will remain a copyright infringement for Wikipedia's purposes. You see, it's not enough for copyright holders to just give permission to use their material on Wikipedia; they have to release the content under the terms of the CC-BY-SA license, which is the same license that Wikipedia uses for its own content. One thing this means is that anyone will be allowed to change it however they want (as long as they say where they got the original from, and allow others to change what they've done). It looks like you want to post something on Wikipedia without allowing anyone other than yourself to change what you posted, and I'm afraid that's just not how Wikipedia works. Thanks, though, for trying to improve Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to talk to me on my talk page, or you can ask questions at the Teahouse, which is a place designed for new users to get friendly, relaxed answers to any questions they have about Wikipedia. See you around! Writ Keeper 04:29, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Understand, regarding copyright and the possible amendment of the article. When I stated that the Mission Statement had to appear word for word, I only meant that it had to appear word for word in my initial writing. I do understand the concept of coopting articles and getting additional input, usggestions or improvements, and that's fine with me. Tell me what I have to do to give you permission to accept my article under thaose (your) conditions so that I can get this posted. Thank you, AlexWebbeAlexWebbe (talk) 04:48, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:AlexWebbe/sandbox/Joy Ford requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
