In response to your feedback

[edit]

Hi Alettertoeva, and thanks for leaving feedback. I'm sorry you're struggling with editing. If you'd like specific help, you can always ask at the helpdesk, but you might also find it useful to request adoption by a more experienced user. That way, you can get regular feedback and advice from a mentor who knows their way around.

Naturally, I'm also happy to offer assistance myself, just drop a note on my talkpage if you need a hand with anything.

Signatures

[edit]

Your signatures were removed from Talamaur as signatures are unnecessary to articles themselves. User signatures should only be used at talkpages. User signatures added to articles would suggest there is only one contributor, and Wikipedia is a website where all users can contribute. SwisterTwister talk 19:08, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Talamaur, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Suggestion for sources

[edit]

Hi Alettertoeva. First up, I wanted to say thank you for your work in creating articles on supernatural beings; you're digging up some very interesting mythological and anthropological stuff. I noticed that you're sourcing much of the material to just a couple of books (which I assume you own); nothing wrong with that, but if you aren't already aware of it, you might find Google Books a useful tool for tracking down additional sources and information (check the recent history of your article Talamaur to see how I was able to add four new sources in less than ten minutes using GBooks).

To find sources this way, do a regular Google search for your article term like this. On the left of the page, there's a search filter menu ("Everything, Images, Maps..." etc.). Choose "More", then "Books": you'll get this. If you then click on the title of one of these books, you'll get a partial view of the text (ranging from a couple of sentences ("snippet view") to most of the book). Google will also highlight your search terms in the text like this.

You can copy the reference information across bit-by-bit (author, title, publisher, year etc.), or you can use the Google Books Citation Tool, which will convert the URL of the page into a template that you can copy (a very useful gadget!).

Apologies if I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, so to speak, but you're doing good work expanding the encyclopedia and I though it might help you to have additional sources for your articles. If you need any help, feel free to drop me a line. Yunshui  07:33, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sanguivoriphobia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:V. The only source that mentions this term is vampires.com, which is not a reliable source.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
