2nd section - edited by Rylee

"This gap has been gradually widening, and as of 2014, almost 45% of women had a Bachelor's degree, compared to 32% of men with a Bachelor's degree."

Alex, The statistics were a nice touch, but I think it would be a good idea to keep what was originally in that paragraph: "By 2010, nearly 60 percent of bachelor's degrees in the US went to women."
