- The two sources cited in Alex Wayman do give "Alex" as his first name; so, that's what Wikipedia is going to follow (at least for now) as explained in WP:COMMONNAME. Of course, it's quite possible that the sources are wrong, and you're welcome to explain why by discussing things on the article's talk page at Talk:Alex Wayman; however, you should also try to provide other reliable sources that show his name was "Alec". In some cases where there is disagreement in reliable sources over a subject's name, it might be worth mentioning this somewhere in the article. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:08, 1 April 2022 (UTC)
