Deletion

[edit]

Please, no deletion unless I have violated an issue. I am new to learning this Wiki coding. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alantauber (talkcontribs) 06:59, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alantauber, I hit upon your userpage today. And got the impression of it being used as personal webspace. For that I have listed it at miscellany for deletion. The actual decision is not up to me, but will be made by an administrator. If you want to protest, it's best to leave a message there. A click on this link, will take you right to the edit screen. Don't forget to sign your message with four tildes (~~~~), then your name and the time will be added at the end. Species8473 (talk) 08:25, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, as a follow up of my earlier message. It would have been better if I brought the issue to you first, via this talk page. Instead of listing your userpage for deletion. For that my apologies.
However, looking at the edits that were made with your account, it appears to be almost solely used for creating this userpage. And the latter conflicts with the intention of wikipedia userpages, as they are meant to support the work of editors on wikipedia. I highly recommend you read through this article, as it explains in detail what userpages are for, and what they are not for.
If in the future, you plan to continue working mostly on your userpage, it will be using wikipedia as webspace provider. That is not allowed and you will have to seek hosting for that some place else. But if you are of intention to become an active wikipedia editor, you can use the userpage to support your work. And as such it is appropriate to also have an introduction of who you are on it. I do hope you choose the latter, and am certain there are many articles and projects within your field of interest.
I will remove the template for deletion, and have added some useful links for you at the top of this page. If you have any follow up questions, you may reply here. Or leave a message on my talk page - and I will be happy to answer them. Best regards, =Species8473= (talk) 15:06, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of DrumConnection, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://blog.uprinting.com/drumconnection/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on DrumConnection, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Regarding DrumConnection, the article doesn't explain why the business is notable for inclusion in an encyclopedia. There needs to be coverage about the business in reliable sources (like newspapers, books, or magazines - no blogs, fan pages, random websites, or the DrumConnection's website) and the article needs to be written in a neutral tone. It currently looks too much like an ad for the business. I hope that helps. APK whisper in my ear 06:58, 11 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
