Information icon Hello, I'm Crow. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Clare Smales, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! CrowCaw 23:44, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Alanpattinson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Impersonation/copy-paste of User:Crow's userpage

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. I see that you have now changed your userpage, so I've removed the CSD-tag. Since you asked on my talk page (your signature was malformed, by the way--it looks like you accidentally signed with five rather than four tildes?), the reason I tagged the page is because you copied the full contents of User:Crow's userpage and put it on your own page, making it appear as though you are him—or at least, as though you are pretending to be him. As this is usually done to harass, embarrass or attempt to get someone into trouble, and even if not done for those reasons still is inappropriate, I added a "Speedy deletion" request so as to get the page dealt with. As you've replaced the content again, this time with just the picture, it no longer looks like you are (claiming to be) User:Crow. (However, please adjust the image's size to something smaller (or, if you'd like, I can do so for you) because as it is right now, it's significantly stretching the page on most smaller monitors.)
In the future, please refrain from copy-and-pasting other people's userpages onto your page. (In fact, copying-and-pasting content anywhere is iffy, barring some rather specific exceptions and with appropriate attribution. Generally best to refrain from it at all) AddWittyNameHere (talk) 00:04, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
