Speedy deletion nomination of Nerd!

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Nerd! requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Ubelowme U Me 01:32, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Alan: With respect to the note that you left in the body of this article, no one is suggesting that this does not exist. What is being suggested is that it is not notable (follow the link to find out the special meaning of "notable" here). Every article on Wikipedia has to have three crucial elements: it must be about a notable topic, and the notability has to be verifiable by reference to reliable sources. It's certainly reasonable to want to promote your Youtube series, it's just that Wikipedia is not really the right place. Best of luck with your efforts. If you have any questions about this, you can leave me a note by clicking on the green "U" after my signature. Ubelowme U Me 01:32, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Category:North American countries

[edit]

I'm concerned about your additions to this category, so I've brought them up at WP:ANI#Micronations being added to Category:North American countries where you should explain your actions. I apologise for doing it this way but I am off to bed now, thus I'm leaving it (sorry) for others to discuss. I may of course be totally wrong and others may see you edits as correct, another reason for bringing it to other editors. Dougweller (talk) 20:59, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
