Average areas of lakes

[edit]

Hello, AlanJohnZimmermann. I have reverted your changes at List of largest lakes of Europe, as the use of "average" isn't really wrong or inappropriate. In fact, the lakes can vary in size depending on water levels and coastal contours. Seasonal variations due to rain, snowmelt, agricultural water use, etc., as well as (increasingly) water depletion as a result of climatic change (and agricultural/industrial use) can cause the depth and therefore area to vary. Nevertheless: happy editing! — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 16:40, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
