Spam in Benny Landa

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Benny Landa, by Gilesbennett (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Benny Landa is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Benny Landa, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it did not nominate Benny Landa itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:22, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message on my talk page. I appreciate that you're not necessarily connected with the subject matter of the article, but the reason I flagged it for deletion was because the manner in which it was written was more akin to an advertisement than an encyclopaedia article. As you are new to Wikipedia, you might not be aware that if you believe the article shouldn't be deleted, you can add the {{hangon}} tag to the page, then leave your reasons why it shouldn't be deleted on the article's talk page - an admin will then take those comments into account when deciding whether or not to delete the article.

I noticed that you signed your comment on my talk page by typing your name - you might like to know that you can automatically sign comments by putting in four tildes (~) - I've pasted below some helpful text on this.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to leave a comment for me on my talk page. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 20:41, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Signing comments

[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 20:41, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya - thanks for your message. I'd suggest trying to come at the article from a much more objective viewpoint - if the article is a work in progress, then you could either user a Sandbox to perfect it before moving it over to the main space, or alternatively add the {{underconstruction}} tag to indicate that the article is under construction - this looks like this. WP:RS will tell you what kinds of sources are useful on Wikipedia; Footnotes has useful instructions on how to cite sources. Let me know if you need any good advice, and welcome to Wikipedia! -FisherQueen (Talk) 02:20, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alagrave - sorry to be the bearer of bad news so soon in your stay here, but your contribution on this squadron had to be deleted it was taken directly from [this] website, in violation of their copyright. It would be really great if you could re-write this article in your own words, since it's a gap in our coverage right now. --Rlandmann 05:22, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
