[edit]I am not questioning your sources but rather that you insist all of Latin America is like this and that you keep revert the already cited and well supported white figures. Latin America is a very diverse place and should be treated as such and not be generalized.(Etherroyal 15:16, 20 April 2007 (UTC))
I see, ok. I will clarify it then, but it looks like you already did so.(Etherroyal 15:35, 20 April 2007 (UTC))
Sorry See I added the wrong source before, this is from the Argentine goverment so they obviously do now. I dought they are prepared by the US government one reason being the numbers are different, any sources saying so? Again my fault for adding the wrong source in the wrong place. Stop
[edit]Please stop messing up with references [1]. You are adding your POV using wrong refernces and removing the referenced text. --- A. L. M. 13:34, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Palestinian people as Canaanites
[edit]Please trust me that I have no POV that I'm trying to push here; I'm only concerned about good science. If you examine the genetic studies, you will find nothing linking either Jews or anyone else in Palestine to Canaanites. The Lebanese-Phoenician study is not very relevant: first, because it talks about Lebanese and not Palestinians specifically, and second because not everyone agrees Phoenicians were Canaanites. The studies that linked Palestinians to Jews did not conclude that either are Canaanites. It would take a lot of original research to transform those into proof for the claim.
I recommend that further discussion take place on the article talk page. nadav (talk) 13:14, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Compromise on who is an Arab
[edit]Hi Andalus, I know that you have a strong belief that any citzen of the Arab world is an Arab, which is understandable. I was just thinking about distinguishing between the Arab citzen and the Ethnic Arab (Ancient Arabs, Qahtani Arabs, Adnani Arabs), I am pretty sure you know that in the Arab world the Ethnic Arabs are the majority in all the Arab nations, except Egypt and Sudan where they are minorities. And most Arab nations have sizeable Non Ethnic Arab Minorities, In Algeria and Maroc you have some Berbers groups that deny any Arab blood within them opposed to the majority mixed Arab/berbers who are obviously Ethnic Arabs.--Skatewalk 19:42, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Ancient Arabs
[edit]I am fixing an artcile on (I have to edit most of it, so if you want to help I will apreciate it) The article posted now is mainly biblical and stll needs alot of work, but some people are insisting on editing it (adding the recent Qahtani Ghassanids and Post Hellenic Nabateans -closely related to Qidar-. Edomites, Midianites, Amalik, A'ad, Thamud should be the core of the article.
- Ancient Arabs (pre Islamic and excludes the Branches of Qahtan and Adnan)
- Qahtani Arabs
- Adnani Arabs --Skatewalk 09:14, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Edit warring
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Arab. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Also do not make personal attacks [2]. Egyegy 08:01, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Christian Arab vs Aramean/Syriac vs Egyptian
[edit]I single them out because we have 3 different Christians we are talking about:
- Ethnic Arab Christians in Lebanon. I am assuming you are confusing them with the mixed/Arabized Arameans/Syriacs. Read the Ghassanids article and you can see the websites tracing the origins to the Arab Ghassanids who are well known noble Qahtani Arabs from Yemen.
- The Maronites are a group of mixed people (including assimilated Arabs), today they identify with the Syriacs, Arameans and even some Phoenician (go figure!). Anyways the point is even if some identify as Arab they are few and of uncertain origin.
- The Christian Egyptians are non Semitic Africans, they were subjected (not assimilated). And the Christians of the disapora dont even speak Arabic (& dont identify as Arab). (so what makes them Arab?). Thats why I single them out!--Skatewalk 09:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Regarding the Arab article
[edit]- Hi Al-Andalus,
I am satrting to accept your version, except for the part where it says 500,000 Bedouins are the Arab minority in Egypt! instead it should be left alone like the rest of the other countries. I tried reasoning with Lanternix but we seemed to have a communication problem and I am going to stick to the official version, for the articles sake! So we can focus on fixing the rest of the article.--Skatewalk 21:46, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Correction on Israel page
[edit]I noticed some of your corrections on the Israel page, and would like to draw your attention to the fact that Druze is both singular and plural (not Druzes]. Also, I cannot figure out why you keep changing the sentence "Israel is the only Jewish state." The country is the only Jewish state is very odd, and I can see nothing wrong with repeating the name. To say that Arabs in Israel are of "local Arab background" also invites questions. If more information is necessary, I would think it is more important in this day and age to state that most of the Muslim Arabs in Israel are Sunni --Gilabrand 07:33, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Stating that the Druze in Israel are of local Arab background is wrong. The Druze may speak Arabic, but they are not Arabs. The assumption that people will interpret the sentence wrongly is no reason to add information that only complicates the matter further. If someone wants to know what kind of Christians are being referred to, they can read the Religion in Israel page.--Gilabrand 11:42, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Please be careful when you do a revert to a page. You reverted to your version without heeding intermediate changes that were unrelated to your section. -- tariqabjotu 00:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the article Maronites
[edit]To answer your question Arabic was spoken in Lebanon since the 3rd century AD (The Ghassanids were the Arab ruling class in Syria) and at that period the closely related Hamdani Arabs settled Lebanon. Arabic became more dominant with Islam, by the 9th century Arabic was the lingua Franca of Lebanon.--Skatewalk 18:08, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
Iraqi jews
[edit]Hey Al-andalus, considering you're fairly knowledgeable about Iraqi jews, have you read Naeim Giladi's article or book? He also points the hand at Zionists for the bombings circa. 1949-50 though I can't remember if he points the finger at the Muslim Brotherhood as well...he absolutely supported Israel and helped jews go to Israel but in the later stages of life decidedly moved away from Israel moving to redefine himself to an Iraqi identity. I'd just be interested to know your thoughts..Domsta333 (talk) 13:29, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Amazonian Jews
[edit]Hi Al-Andalus: Could you please add some reliable sources and citations about the Amazonian Jews article that you recently created. The delicate and disputable nature of its subject-matter makes it important that it does not violate WP:NOR, WP:RS and WP:V. Thanks a lot for researching this very interesting topic. (Note: If you scratch long enough you will find that many communities, countries, and people, have lots of "Jewish" ancestral connections, and you don't have to go sailing down the Amazon, the Ganges or the Nile to look for it. Tens of millions of Jews have been exiled and have assimilated into non-Jewish gentile culture over the centuries and millenia in Asia, Europe, Africa and America so that essentially, there could be hundreds of articles about proto-Jews from every territory and country where Jews have entered or resided and that makes for a lot of nooks and crannies to go digging for if that's what strikes one's fancy. But please do not insert that "Ashkenazim" don't like these people or some such hokum, because you are missing the point of this entire conundrum then. Funny how people think it way interesting to look up the "Jewish roots" of "lost tribes" when there are so many "partial" Jews in all Western and Islamic countries.) Thanks again, IZAK (talk) 11:34, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
