Not an orphan

Your bot tagged Image:The Bridge film 1hr05min21sec.jpg, but there are notices on this that it is not an orphaned image. Thank you for your time. Smee 09:14, 27 May 2007 (UTC).

  • Thanks, I will research into changing the template to a free-use template, per the film credits releasing it for free online usage. Smee 22:57, 27 May 2007 (UTC).

Bot problem

Yeah your bot tagged an image I uploaded a loooong time ago as an orphan. Image:C+ Sweden Logos 2006.jpg is not an orphan since it is used for the article C More Entertainment. Fix your bot, I don't want to be bothered by it. Kaiketsu 18:18, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi! I listed an image for deletion on May 19th and it's not been deleted or noted by an admin. Wondering if you'd mind having a look at it? it's Image:Lifehouse-First-Time.jpg. My rationale for its deletion is on its talk page. Thanks. --lincalinca 06:08, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I think its time to report (if you haven't already) Hkelkar for long-term abuse. Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 18:26, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I think you need to get admitted into a nearest psychiatric facility. You seem to be having a Kelkar phobia.

Orphaned | Non-orphaned

Hi, your bot doesn't seem to read the {{notorphan}} tag. It tagged http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Image:Shack_funky_hacked_2.png as an orphan. sikander 18:14, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, the text of the template used to be different when I first added it to that image.. this one specifically: [1]. I don't know when or why it changed. The new text do raise the concerns you posted about. I'll leave it for the moderators and admins to decide what to do. sikander 05:30, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphanded GFDL presumed images.

Hi, I noticed your bot was tagging unused {{GFDL-presumed}} images as oprhanded fair use images. IMHO this is not optimal since while depreciated it's not technicaly a non-free license tag. I would recomend restricting bot tagging of orphan non-free images to images that transclude the meta template {{Non-free media}}, and list things like these on IFD or something instead. --Sherool (talk) 10:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Non orphaned image

Hi, your bot has tagged Image:River chew.JPG as orphaned & non fair use. It is not orphaned it is used on River Chew, Geology of Somerset & Chew Valley. I want it to be PD but can't see how to change this on the image file.— Rod talk 12:19, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Aksibot

I'm sorry, but I had to turn off Aksibot. It appears that it is tagging images with {{orfud}} or {{Orphaned fairuse not replaced}} that are currently tagged with {{GFDL-presumed}}. As these images are presumed to be GFDL, they are not fair-use, and so therefore should not be tagged for deletion under a fair-use criteria. These images will need to be "untagged". --After Midnight 0001 00:58, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

This is not a fault of the bot owner, but of mine. I told the bot owner was tag to use, which now is a mistake. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 01:02, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Aksi, I see that there are a few threads going and I didn't know exactly where to respond, so if you want to move this comment somewhere else, feel free to do so. Per your questions about what to do with the images that are tagged GFDL-presumed after the Jan 1, 2006 deadline, I would consider the following methodology (in order). 1) If the image has another license tag (sometimes images are tagged twice) just remove the GFDL-presumed tag and leave the other one and move on. 2) If there is no text from the uploader at all, I would replace the GFDL-presumed tag with {{nsd}}. 3) For all others, I would leave the {{GFDL-presumed}} in place and add {{Wrong-license}} so someone else will review it in more detail. Of course, this is only my opinion as you have requested; you should feel free to solicit others as you deem appropriate. --After Midnight 0001 13:27, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Some help

Basically if an image does not contain one of the following regex patterns on it, it *should* not be tagged. Hope this helps :) Cheers! —— Eagle101Need help? 00:58, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Incorrect upload date determination

Your bot tagged Image:Ionicbond.JPG as having been uploaded after 1 Jan 2006, even though it's from some point before before 20 July 2002. It seems you're checking the edit history rather than the actual file history as shown on the image page. Please fix this bug, and, if at all possible, have your bot re-check any images it has already tagged. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 15:39, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello, your bot seems to have systematically deleted my images for an article I had been working on. I had been taking a wikibreak, and thus I was unable to read the comments it left on my talk page before it deleted the images. Dear Aksi, I need your advice, as group of Iranian editors have started an RFC against me and they try to ban me from editing the Reza Shah, and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi pages.

These editors (shervink, SG, Mehrshad123, Rayis, Sina Kardar, Agha_Nader, and Dfitzgerald) have continously deleted sourced material from academic sources arguing that since these are Western sources they are biased. These sources argue that these two Shahs were despots, who by using fascist techniques oppressed the nation, killing their opponents, and so on and so forth. They argue that their regime was responsible for the destruction of the 1907 constitution of Iran wich was a progrssive one and as a result Iran's recent situation arose (A fact that will not surprise any main stream historian).

I have provided a list of these facts in the discussion page of the RFC with my references that are disputed by the Iranian editors . However, these editors never discuss any of these points they only say "the majority has the slightest interest in your edits" and so they vote for delete. I admit that as a result of my frustration I have called them vandals, B_logers, and Fascist. But they have called me A******, Trol and so on. I have also asked two students of mine to contribute to these pages but they were banned, and I was accused of Sockpuppetry. However after they were banned I tried alone for about six months to include some of the disputed points in the article to no availe since they immediately reverted my edits.

Recently, The_Behnam (a rather neutarl editor) asked me to discuss my edits again in the discussion pages and stop the edit war. I again agreed in good faith hopping that through this process I wil get a chance to balance the articles in question. But Shervink (an editor who has called me A***** ) immediately argued that he won't take part in any discussion with me. He called all the other Iranian editors listed above to support him in his RFC, which they did.

Would you kindly please have a look at this RFC, ([4]) and its discussion pages ([5]), and provide me with some advice. I am not familiar with RFC procedure. I wanted to ask you to have a look at the discussion pages of Reza Shah, and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, but this may be asking too much, and I do not want to push my luck.

Thank you so much for your help, it is greatly appreciated. Artaxerex 06:00, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
