New Jersey General Assembly Infoboxes

[edit]

Typically, infoboxes are used for New Jersey Senators but not for New Jersey General Assemblymen, as far as the New Jersey Legislature goes. I don't think there should be such infoboxes on pages like Nancy Munoz and Jon Bramnick but none on the pages of the other 78 General Assemblymen. If you think all 80 articles should have these infoboxes, then I invite you to join WikiProject New Jersey and discuss this universal change there.

That said, I welcome you to the editing fold and encourage you to continue working on articles on New Jersey government. A Stop at Willoughby (talk) 14:56, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I realize your desire for uniformity, but that is not reason to make some pages less organized just because their peers are lacking. I think all politicians should have infoboxes because they make important information immensely more visible. I chose to create ones for Nancy Munoz and Jon Bramnick because they are my representatives as a citizen of the 21st district. I would like to see infoboxes for all 80 New Jersey General Assembly members, but I do not have the time to create them all myself.
Many of the wiki pages pertaining to NJ politics are seriously lacking. The New Jersey Senate and New Jersey General Assembly didn't even have infoboxes until I created them yesterday. Senate Minority Leader Thomas Kean, Jr. didn't have one either. I think Jon Bramnick's position as Assembly Minority Whip makes it essential that he has an infobox. I am also considering creating infoboxes for all NJ State Senators and Assemblypersons with high leadership positions.
If we remove infoboxes from Assemblypersons just because all 80 don't have one then we may never reach completion. Until we get there let's not be obsessive about consistency and allow progress whenever it comes. Aki Mononoke (talk) 17:19, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you, and hopefully we will have infoboxes for all 80 General Assemblymen in the near future. Munoz and Bramnick are my representatives as well, so I understand your interest in working on their pages, especially as I have been doing the same thing. I look forward to continuing to work with you on articles pertaining to New Jersey government. A Stop at Willoughby (talk) 15:11, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at WikiProject New Jersey

[edit]

Hi, Aki Mononoke, User:Nightscream and I had a disagreement over certain parts of NJ municipality articles; because the discussion could potentially affect hundreds of articles, we decided to bring the discussion to WikiProject New Jersey. I would value your input in the discussion, which you can find here. Thanks, A Stop at Willoughby (talk) 15:34, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
