License tagging for Image:BatterseaPOWER72.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:BatterseaPOWER72.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:05, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for uploading this image. It's very well done and would be a good addition to the Battersea Power Station article. However, the licensing terms that you've specified (only with written permission) cannot be used for images on Wikipedia. If you would like to use the image in the article, it needs to be a free use image, meaning it should be able to be used for any purpose, including commercial. As such, it needs to be public domain, GFDL, or a Creative Commons License (Attribution or Attribution-ShareAlike). Currently, it's marked for deletion as it does not have an acceptable license. If these terms are unacceptable to you, you do not need to do anything. Otherwise, you will need to add the appropriate license tag. Thank you. BrownCow • (how now?) 16:48, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Are you Anthony Jones? I note that you have exclusively edited that article (or its related photo). If so, please review Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Vanity guidelines and refrain from making other edits to your article. SteveHopson 23:37, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Sheerness. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.
If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alex ShihTalk 14:31, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
