[edit]Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
- What can I do now?
You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
below this message box. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Notability of Leslie Courtemanche
[edit]You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
The article Leslie Courtemanche has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 00:24, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Request reason:
The block is in fact not necessary. A simple request to add why the Author is notable, was all that is needed. I am writing about a person who has documented important limited resources of the ecology. They have nothing to do with me or my company. In fact I do not know them. I can remove the link from my blog if you wish, but the other references show the notability required. Thank you. Please understand I am new too. Thanks
Decline reason:
That does not address the reason why you were blocked, which was because your username violates our username policy because, since it seems to represent a studio, may indicate a role account. If you wish to be unblocked, then you must change your username to a name that doesn't match any entity (i.e. represents an individual). Choose a new username by checking it against our list of already-taken usernames at Special:ListUsers; if it is available, then please post {{Unblock-un|New username}}
on the bottom of this page, replacing "new username" with your new username, and an administrator will be happy to grant your request, provided you request your username change right after your unblock. Regards, –MuZemike 00:46, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
