Ahmad, assuming you are who you say you are, the Wikipedia article Ahmad Thomson is not your personal site. Any info you add there needs to include citations, i.e. reference to sources where the information can be verified. Moreover, it needs to be written from a neutral point of view. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. I have added some of the encyclopedic information you contributed, but the rest remains on the talkpage or in the page history. Thanks. [edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Ahmad Thomson, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. THE AMERICAN METROSEXUAL 01:20, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if you have read this, in particular WP:BPUH. I've removed 'peace be on him' from your article accordingly. Dougweller (talk) 08:05, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Dougweller, I'm sure you mean well, but may be unaware of the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the subject, including: "Dust be upon the face of whoever does not ask for blessings on me when I am mentioned in his presence!" and, "Whoever blesses me in a letter or a book, the angels continue to ask forgiveness for him as long as my name remains on that page." and, "I met Jibril [the angel Gabriel] who said, 'I give you the good news that Allah has said that whoever asks for peace for you, He asks for peace for him. Whoever blesses you, He blesses him.'" and, "Whoever forgets to pray on me, forgets the path to the Garden."

If you do not reverse your correction, I will still have the reward for having put the blessings in ~ and you will have its opposite for having taken the blessings out.

God says in the Qur'an:

Allah and His angels call down blessings on the Prophet. You who have trust! call down blessings on him and ask for complete peace and safety for him.

As for those who abuse Allah and His Messenger, Allah's curse is on them in this world and the next world. He has prepared a humiliating punishment for them.

(Qur'an 33. 56-57)

May you end up asking for peace and blessings on the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, so that you taste the benefits of doing this, both in this world and in the next ~ otherwise you may discover that your 'neutrality' has cost you dearly!

With best wishes for all that remains of our futures, Ahmad Thomson Ahmad Thomson (talk) 23:28, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Shaykh Mortada Elboumashouli.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. 舎利弗 (talk) 04:12, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Ahmad Thomson. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Ahmad Thomson, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. — kashmiri TALK 11:13, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm 220 of Borg. I wanted to let you know that your signature ("sig") might cause problems for some readers. This is because it has no link to your account as is required, see wp:SIGLINK. Thank you. 220 of Borg 13:52, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 220 of Borg ~ thank you for drawing this to my attention ~ I have tried to follow the guidance by inputting Example : Talk in the signature field of my preferences and then substituting my name for Example ~ so when I sign this, I'll find out if I have done it right! Ahmad Thomson : Talk 14:23, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 220 of Borg ~ I was then directed to create a user page, so I have done that ~ if I've got it wrong, please let me know ~ thank you. Ahmad Thomson : Talk 14:31, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it seems to be working now, thank you. :-D 220 of Borg 05:37, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
