A question for you: Why do you keep adding and deleting the word Apopka to the Valencia Community College article? Thanks, Alanraywiki (talk) 17:42, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
I am a librarian at Valencia. I use our page to demonstrate to students in library instruction classes how easily Wikipedia can be edited - and that is one reason why it is not an acceptable source for college level research assignments (useful perhaps for day-to-day information - but NOT on a Works Cited page for a research paper.) Most college students believe that Wikipedia and Google are the only research tools they will ever need. This demonstration helps show them why they need to utilize true research tools.
I would like to continue my demonstrations - they help drive home the point. Therefore, I am requesting that the block be removed. I edit and replace content within a short time frame only using the page for the community college at which I am employed. I can understand why this might be questioned, but I hope the explanation is sufficient to unblock me.
Thank you.

- You added and deleted Apopka again today. Why are you doing that? Alanraywiki (talk) 17:44, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. I have blocked this account from editing, because your edits don't make any sense. You are simply filling up the article history with edits that accomplish nothing whatsoever. If you wish to continue editing with this account, I'm afraid you'll have to give some indication that you intend to use it for something worthwhile. Looie496 (talk) 04:57, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Unblocked
[edit]I have unblocked your account. Your explanation makes perfect sense, but I wonder if you could find a better article to use for your demonstrations. Two possibilities: (1) use WP:SANDBOX, which is designed specifically for testing. (2) Create a test article in your own user space, i.e. something like User:Afactchecker/Test Article, or even a copy of the college article. Regards, Looie496 (talk) 16:30, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
