[edit]Hello, I'm Bruce1ee. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Passu Glacier have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. —Bruce1eetalk 21:25, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Passu Glacier. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] —Bruce1eetalk 14:31, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
My aim is to add a source of my citation neither promotion nor spamming as I know Wikipedia uses the no-follow attributes. As well as it is authentic info.
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Passu Sar, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. —Bruce1eetalk 15:44, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
Hi Adeel Faraz Khan, please stop adding links to your blog – it is not a reliable source. See WP:ELNO for more information. —Bruce1eetalk 15:48, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Bruce Lee, I am not trying to spam or my intentions are not bad. I just want to learn about adding value able content as well as I learned that external links are not totally banned in Wikipedia so I want to learn the right way to do so. I would be very thankful if you could help me with the same. Can you please share reasons why my citation was not approved, why my link not getting approved as I can see several external links on Wikipedia, is there any part of page that allows external links if yes please tell, what should be the right strategy for a citation?
- Do not ever cite your own blog. Or add it as an External link. You are not considered a reliable source. Adding your own blog to articles is considered promotional spamming, and will result in you being indefinitely blocked. If you have information to add, find a source you have no connection to. - Same is true for what you are creating in your Sandbox. David notMD (talk) 19:14, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
- Do not ask questions at Teahouse and at Help, as that wastes the volunteer responders' time. David notMD (talk) 19:15, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

. GeneralNotability (talk) 20:02, 1 October 2021 (UTC)- You can appeal your block. For any chance of success, you must state that you will never attempt to cite your own blog, or website if you have one, or articles you have written, as a reference or External link. That includes stating that you will delete what you have in your Sandbox. David notMD (talk) 00:09, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
