Infinity War/Endgame production work
Hey Adam! Hope all is well! I saw you're starting some work on the production article in your sandbox. Let me know when you're finished with what you want to do. I'd be happy to then go through and make a pass/copy-edit to it before its copied back over to the live article. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:38, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
- Will do. My plan at the moment is to get through everything I want to do by the end of the weekend, but if that doesn't happen then I may not be in a rush. So far I've been adding quite a bit of good stuff. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:40, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
- Sounds good, and yeah, no rush on my end either to look it over! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:58, 3 January 2020 (UTC)

star trek
I understand your comment but i think it is very relevant for a parent to know a star trek series is rated TV-MA. If you look up the movie Showgirls, you will see that its NC-17 rating is mentioned numerous times. When something is unusual I think it is reasonable for Wiki to include it because it is important information. If you wish to also state this in the main section that is fine with me. I think if you open this up for conversation, many people would see my POV. However, I will leave it as is. You change it (or include somewhere else) if you agree with me. Thanks Drycroft4 (talk) 22:29, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
- You are right that it is reasonable to include if it is unusual, but it is not up to us to decide what is unusual and what is not. We need commentary from reliable third party sources discussing the rating and why it is unusual if we want to include that information in the article. - adamstom97 (talk) 00:43, 10 March 2020 (UTC)

About DiscussingFilm
Hi, Tom. Given your edit in Draft:Untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel, do you consider DiscussingFilm a reliable source? If so, why? I'm having a hard time defining if relatively new websites like this are reliable or not. I've also asked this at WT:FILM and WP:RSN. El Millo (talk) 01:03, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
- It is relatively new, but it has editorial oversight and has proven reliable for scoops particularly related to filming and cinematographers. I definitely think its reliable, but like any of these sites we just have to keep an eye out to make sure what they are saying seems right. If they started reporting on a bunch of stuff that is obviously made up like what some other sites do (We Got This Covered, for example) then maybe we would have to reconsider. But yeah, at the moment I have been considering it to be reliable. - adamstom97 (talk) 01:06, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you. El Millo (talk) 01:50, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
THANK YOU!
Using Indented plainlist and quad at at the CM draft has literally solved an issue I've been having with the Based on template and had brought up on its talk page. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:03, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oh, interesting, thanks for pointing out that discussion. I've been thinking about doing something about it for a while as I find it hard to look at with the multiple listings all blurring together.
- P.S. happy to discuss the coronavirus in the lead thing. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:04, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah I wanted to see if there was some sort of code to handle it on the Based on template side, but based on our conversations, I don't think so. So this is a good fix in my eyes until a solution potentially is found. I'm going to start a coronavirus lead discussion on the Phase 4 talk. Seems most appropriate. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:13, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Actually, regular Plainlist, and then {{Nb5}} might do more of what I wanted or at least is an alternative. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:48, 4 April 2020 (UTC)Scratch that. It's a method, but not the one I had proposed on the based on talk page. Yours was it! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:50, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
New page creation
I went and created a character list from scratch for the manga Edens Zero, but since I don't typically create entirely new pages, I'm not certain if there were any necessary procedures to go through first, such as submitting a draft for approval, or if it needs a review. What do I do? User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 02:29, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
- There is no real procedure, it just depends on the situation. Every new article will be patrolled by an experienced editor and if they see any major problems then they may choose to let you know or help out. I just took a look at your page and it looks really good, especially the "real world" aspects which is what we always want to focus on with entertainment-related articles. Drafts are used when you want to start making an article but it is not ready to be in the mainspace, or is not allowed to be yet (for instance, articles about films aren't usually allowed in the mainspace until filming begins so sometimes a draft will be created with all the details known before filming). In future, if you make another great article like this one and are confident with it then you should feel free to go ahead and make it. If you want to start working on something and let others help out then you can always make a draft, and if you have a draft but aren't sure if it should be moved to the mainspace then there is the option to submit the draft for approval. But mostly I think you should just carry on as you are. You can also use your sandbox if you want to play around with something but don't want other people working on it yet which can happen in the draftspace. - adamstom97 (talk) 02:37, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

A copy edit pass?
Hey Adam. If you had the time/interest, would you be willing to give Crisis on Infinite Earths (Arrowverse) a copy-edit? I'm hoping to nominate it soon for GA, and have requested a copy editor from the Guild to take a look, but I'd love to have your thoughts on it as well. Thanks. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:32, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
- I'll try take a look at it today. - adamstom97 (talk) 22:07, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks! No rush. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:20, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
- I've given it a c/e pass, and I think it does a good job balancing all the information from all the shows in the one article. I understand why the last reception subsection combines two episodes, but I think it wouldn't be too hard to separate them and it would make sense to do that if there was enough reception info out there on the Legends episode. I also think you could add some discussion to the ratings section (I seem to remember reading that they had all gone up for the crossover), and then summarize that reception info in the lead. Otherwise I think it is looking pretty good. - adamstom97 (talk) 01:44, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks so much Adam! Yeah, since Arrow and Legends aired on the same night, most of the reviews were about both as a whole, so it seem easier to just combine the two into one section. Only the AV Club had individual reviews for each episode. I'll definitely look into the ratings info and see what I can add, and then to create an overall reception summary in the lead. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:19, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
- Also, do you have any thoughts on how to present the cast that was uncredited? Currently I'm using the dagger, and formerly had efns for all of them, but I'm not totally sold on either of those methods being the best. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:03, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
- I don't know if I have a better option other than maybe having two sections, one for credited guests and one for uncredited cameos. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:57, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah I think anyway you want to portray the info, there's going to be duplication/excess somewhere. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:25, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

Advice
Hi. Thanks for the Home Alone review. I was wondering if you think that Bad Blood, an article that I destubified, is in good enough shape for GA. It being a Canadian show, it has limited critical reception attention, but other than that I think its overall coverage is in good condition. Thanks for the advice in advance. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 02:45, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hey, it looks like you have done a good job so far. Since there are individual season articles I think you should be able to present the series article as an overview of the articles which means you don't need quite as much info, but it would definitely be good to get a few more sections going if possible like maybe some marketing info or music? I'm not quite sure what is available for this show in particular, but you've got it on the right track. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:15, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice, unfortunately, I've searched for things like that, but was unable to find anything related. Coincidentally (...or not), a user has just added the split info back into the main page, which seems to be rightfully so given the tvsplit guide for not being of substantial size to warrant a split. In doing so, the page is probably more comprehensive and a "Broadcast and releases" section was merged into the main article. I have also just finished trimming the episodes down between 200-300 words because he had tagged them for clean up given they were admittedly much too large (400-500 words). I know the guide says it is recommended that they be 200 words, but given I have done the best I could to get it as close to that number as possible, would being marginally over the word limit influence your decision as a GA reviewer? I think there is a point where the guide can be ignored if we are trying to keep the summary respectable while at the same time avoiding glaring plot gaps. Since you are someone who often reviews TV and film articles, I'm wondering perspective on this. Regards, Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 03:10, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- 200 words is a pretty good guideline, there is very rarely need for it to be longer than that. However, it is just a guideline and if a reviewer expresses concern about the length but you are able to convince them that it is necessary for the specific series then it could be fine. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:24, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- Fair enough. If you get a chance, would you be able to do a copy edit, and maybe you could bring up some parts you think could be shortened in that section? Thanks, Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 03:39, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- I think you have to do some more research to find sources for the article, such as more reviews of the show that could be added to the critical response section. Good luck with that. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:54, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Good work on starting the sandbox and then in moving it to draftspace. While the general guideline in the TV show and film wikiprojects is to wait until filming starts to have the article in mainspace, WP:GNG overrides project guidelines. This project is going to bring a lot of interested readers to Wikipedia searching for information on the show, so having an article will help to address those needs. As long as the article clearly meets GNG, I think any AFD challenges to a pre-filming article can be overcome. That means having high-quality mainstream sources, not just genre sites. It may take a few months to get there, but I believe the sources will come. Again, good work. - BilCat (talk) 04:38, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

An Unknown Abbreviation
@Adamstom.97: you used the abbreviation "c/e". I've never seen that before. I'd like to know what it's abbreviating. Please, If you've got a moment, lemme know. Liberty5651 (talk) 18:12, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Liberty5651: Hi, c/e means copy-edit. It's an abbreviation that I've been using for many years now whenever I've been re-writing or adjusting phrasing. It's mostly out of habit at this point. - adamstom97 (talk) 20:02, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Hey Adam! I don't want to distract you from any of your current projects, but if you've got time, would you mind commenting at my peer review for Sonic the Hedgehog? I'm trying to get it to FA status to run it on the main page on June 23, 2021 (the 30th anniversary) and want some outside eyes before I nominate it. JOEBRO64 22:16, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

Removing Genre in The Mandalorian
Hello, I'm not quite sure why you keep removing the genre from the first line of The Mandalorian, and the explanation you give is that it is unnecessary. However, the genre is absolutely necessary to provide a two-word context to the reader the defining feature as to what type of show it is - fantasy, science fiction, horror, space opera, etc. This is also consistent with MOS:TVGENRE, and the fact that the show is a Space Western is verified through not only Pascal's comments but is also repeated in the table, and for good luck, in case it may be unsourced here are three sources: [1] [2] [3]. Also, I don't want to pull that other stuff exists, but it is nevertheless worth noting that this format is consistent with existing tv show articles, such as Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, and Breaking Bad. Thus, I believe we should reconsider adding the genre for a bit more clarity for our readers. Hummerrocket (talk) 03:38, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message
Hello
Greetings! More than a year has passed since the premiere of Avengers: Endgame and the question arises, will the article about Production of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame be finalized and put forward for GA? AaronSprouse (talk) 05:45, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
- Everyone who edits on Wikipedia is volunteering their time, and can choose to direct those efforts however they wish. When I do have the time to come here, what I do will depend very much upon what I am in the mood to work on at the time. There is no set plan or anything like that. So you are free to put more work into that article if you so wish. - adamstom97 (talk) 08:21, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
- This is normal when there is a lot of work. For example, I personally admire your work, namely The Mandalorian, Star Trek and MCU movies/TV series. Just on your behalf, articles about MCU look most clearly. I even saw your sandbox about production, even the movie Logan. But I'm not referring to the fact that you need to do something right away, but only to find out the answer. And then it's a matter of time. AaronSprouse (talk) 10:54, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

The Mandalorian is the main reason of Disney+ Success
You removed my addition and new section called "Disney+ Impact" Here is another source that supports it: Martinvince (talk) 23:57, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- That source is better, as we could use
Most gave the Jon Favreau-created series, The Mandalorian, credit for the platform’s strong start.
But we still shouldn't be putting it in the productions section. - adamstom97 (talk) 00:02, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
One more source here that says people are sticking around because of Mandalorian.Martinvince (talk) 00:03, 13 December 2020 (UTC) Where do you think is the best spot for it? Maybe a new Header after Reception or under Reception? Martinvince (talk) 00:08, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- It can probably go under "Audience viewership" in the reception section, like we have at the season 1 article. - adamstom97 (talk) 00:11, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- I think due to its huge impact, we need to call it "Impact on Disney+." Check the The Mandalorian Talk page, I proposed it there. You can leave a comment about your idea of how to do it. Martinvince (talk) 08:57, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
