Wannsee Conference

[edit]

Am I correct in assuming that this page has been the home of various other preliminary articles, explaining the inapositeness of the earlier comments? At any rate, the article on Wannsee looks good to me, although I haven't had a chance to read it closely. I do wonder a bit about some of the stronger statements, like that "Himmler and Heydrich thus had explicit authorisation from Hitler to proceed with the extermination of the Jews." The given quote seems more like implicit authorization to me. There's a few points, more broadly, where the article seems to be trying to argue a case, rather than to represent the state of scholarly debate. I also note an apparent error of fact - according to our article on him, Ernst von Weizsäcker appears to have survived the war, and died in 1951. But mostly very good. john k 00:20, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
