Hi. I'm not sure what a mod is. Are you referring to a forum moderator? If so, we call them administrators here on wikipedia and no, I'm not an admin. Btw, you'll notice I moved this thread to the bottom. At the top of all talk pages is tab saying "new section". Use that to start a new thread - it's easier because it moves the thread to the bottom and creates a section header. Zain Ebrahim (talk) 18:14, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're very welcome. Now let's write an encyclopedia! :) Zain Ebrahim (talk) 20:42, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 15:11, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

Please see WP:WEB. No evidence was presented that this website meets any of the criteria listed -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 15:12, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean?--Accdude92 (talk) 17:59, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Before any subject can have an article on Wikipedia, it must meet a minimum level of notability. Obviously there are literally millions of websites out there and we can't have articles on all of them, so we have a notability policy, which is set out on the WP:WEB guideline page. If you are able to demonstrate that your website meets these requirements (the site has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself, the site has won a well-known and independent award from either a publication or organization, or is distributed via a medium which is both respected and independent of the creators), then by all means recreate its article, however there was nothing in the original version of the article to demonstrate that it met any of the requirements. I hope this helps.
Also, when you need to contact another editor, please note that you should put the message on that editor's talk page, not your own. When you do that, the editor in question gets a notification that they have a new message waiting. They don't get notified if you put the message on your own talk page. Cheers! -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:19, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re: Happy Birthday

[edit]

Thanks a lot! Are you talking about the one which appears when you edit my talk? neuroIT'S MY BIRTHDAY! 18:11, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, first I use this tool to set my status, and then I use some special code to show what status I have selected when people edit my talk. If you follow the instructions on the linked page, install it, and set your status to 'online', I can make the special page for you - that is, if you would like that. :) neuroIT'S MY BIRTHDAY! 18:16, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done, my friend. :) neuroIT'S MY BIRTHDAY! 21:39, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't know if you wanted that. How would you like it customized? neuroIT'S MY BIRTHDAY! 21:45, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done! Enjoy! :) neuro(talk) 14:03, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see it just fine. Try purging your cache (ctrl + f5 in Firefox). neuro(talk) 14:18, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What do you see, exactly? neuro(talk) 14:28, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That did quite monumentally screw up my talk, and placed some templates that messed up the IRC bots... please copy with more restraint next time. D: It should be at the top when you edit... I definitely see it. neuro(talk) 14:32, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's no problem, enjoy! :) neuro(talk) 14:36, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Go to /Editnotice. :) neuro(talk) 14:40, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, you have to change it using the button in the top right of your screen. neuro(talk) 14:43, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(unindent) I don't do much on the article side of things, I do maintenance. I should mention that whilst I am up for general talk, this sort of conversation is more suited for IRC, since I am reasonably busy with other things at the moment. :) neuro(talk) 14:56, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, unfortunately, I am going to have to ask that this conversation ends, I'm afraid. You seem like a nice guy, and someone I would like to get to know, but the point of Wikipedia is to work on articles, and not social networking. If you're looking for somewhere that you can chat socially with other people, you might want to check out Myspace, Bebo, Xanga, LiveJournal, or any other of the millions of social networking sites out on the web. If you're here to contribute to the encyclopaedia, please feel free to work on some stuff, we won't (and don't) bite! Otherwise, yes, I apologise, but the conversation needs to draw to a close. Goodbye, my friend, and I hope to see you contributing soon! :) neuro(talk) 15:05, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, feel free to drop in from time to time, that's fine. Having full on off-topic conversations is not, however. :) neuro(talk) 15:37, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, just fine thanks. And with you? neuro(talk) 15:58, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"Busy" for me means "occupied". I'm currently about to work on adding reply diffs for every notice on my talkpage and copyediting everything, so that will keep me busy for a while. Anyway, have a nice day! neuro(talk) 16:03, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
TheDJ. neuro(talk) 18:28, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that! :D neuro(talk) 21:33, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry, I show all my awards on my main page, and they don't get archived. :) (go here and click "Awards") neuro(talk) 21:39, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'll tell you what - since you asked so nicely, I'll leave the archive for a week. :) neuro(talk) 22:15, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How do I become an admin?

See WP:ADMIN. There are no set rules for experience but you need to be around for a while (a year) and be active in a lot of areas. Wikipedia:Admin coaching is a good place to start. GtstrickyTalk or C 14:22, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

and here is a bunch of reading to help you get started:

Getting help

Policies and Guidelines
Things to do

GtstrickyTalk or C 14:29, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For here 1 How do I put an request?

No offense intended but 2 months and 111 edits is way to early to even be thinking about admin or even coaching. Get 3 to 6 months under your belt and 2000-3000 edits and you should be able to find a coach. GtstrickyTalk or C 14:47, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I want my userpage and my talk to look nice, can anyone help me do that?

Hi! You might want to take a look at Wikipedia:User Page Design Center. :) Stwalkerstertalk ] 14:54, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just tell me how to do it, im still confused...

Your help requirements are beyond the scope of what the helpme template is intended for. Please see Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User and request someone to assist you. GtstrickyTalk or C 15:44, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How long does it take to get adopted?

Depends on how active/busy adopters are, usually less than a week.--Terrillja talk 17:55, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just need to be adopted now...I already asked to be adopted and Its benn way to long...about a month...
Well its a volunteer action, there is no reason why anyone "has" to adopt you. Your use of the helpme template for things which it is not meant for could be pushing away any possible adopters.--Terrillja talk 18:01, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you really want an adopter, you could try approaching one. neuro(talk) 19:26, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What does an article need to not be deleted?

My block

[edit]

I swear that was someone else using the same ip, as you know that I haven't vandalized on Wikipedia.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock lifted or expired.

Hiw do I use suggest bot?

No idea. Never even heard of it. Most bots have user pages with instructions. GtstrickyTalk or C 18:29, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You can use it by adding your name like User:Accdude92 at User:SuggestBot/Requests or User:SuggestBot/Regulars. neuro(talk) 12:48, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there Accdude92. I was impressed with your speedy response to the test I made; which drives me to ask for your assistance. I want to have a go at editing a page on Wikipedia by just adding a few minor things like links and making some parts more clear; It'd be appreciated if you could review the changes I make and tell me how I could :improve my improvements:. I am not familiar with the real wikipedia 'syntax' and tools which are at my disposal but I plan to pick up such things through processes like editing pages. I plan to edit the wikipedia entry for DJ Sharpnel, thank you Accdude92 !

UPDATE: Have now edited the DJ Sharpnel page, I included a red link which I am pretty sure will have to be removed; but I know the link is to a page which will be created in the future. Thank you for any creative criticism you grant me! Oiokamioio (talk) 18:46, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE: Added a new section a few hours ago, Included detials on the DJ Sharpnel discussion page, please review! Oiokamioio (talk) 14:47, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth. neuro(talk) 15:28, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, didn't notice that. You have to go here, go to where it says "Signature", put this code in:
Accdude92 (Merry Christmas!)
...and tick 'raw signature'. Then save. Also, the "Neuro:" thing is only for IRC, no need to use it here. :) neuro(talk) 21:17, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happy New Year!
Hey there, Accdude92! Happy new Gregorian year. All the best for the new year, both towards you and your family and friends too. I know that I am the only person lonely enough to be running this thing as the new year is ushered in, but meh, what are you going to do. I like to keep my templated messages in a satisfactorily melancholy tone. ;)

Congratulations to Coren, Wizardman, Vassyana, Carcharoth, Jayvdb, Casliber, Risker, Roger Davies, Cool Hand Luke and Rlevse, who were all appointed to the Arbitration Committee after the ArbCom elections. I am sure I am but a voice of many when I say I trust the aforementioned users to improve the committee, each in their own way, as listed within their respective election statements. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to update the 2009 article, heh.

Best wishes, neuro(talk) 00:42, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

I am still editing, I should probably alter the message. My issues are both aesthetic and medical in nature, so I doubt you could help, but thanks for offering anyway. :) neuro(talk) 17:28, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The aesthetic issue I would rather not go into as it is personal in nature, but the medical one is a potential brain tumour. neuro(talk) 17:58, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'm having my CT scan soon. neuro(talk) 18:02, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. neuro(talk) 18:05, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm clean, thankfully. Sorry for not responding earlier, I was away. :) neuro(talk) 18:14, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Instructions are here. :) neuro(talk) 18:14, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
