Regarding your additions to Psoriasis[edit]

You added the following to the Psoriasis article:

  • Psoriasis must be treated from the inside out. Talk to an internist or homeopath about the helpful effects of Cod Liver Oil in winter, fish oils in summer. This is a traditional remedy used for general health. One teaspoon of Norwegian Cod Liver Oil = 4000IU of Vitamin A and 400IU Vitamin D. Vitamin A (animal retinol) stimulates growth hormone which has a positive effect on the immune system. Many Nordic peoples living in North America suffer from this disease needlessly. This is a food supplement of macrobiotic (traditional) diet and it works. If your condition worsens in winter / cold weather, and/or if you or your parents remember the 'daily dose', psoriasis sufferers should ask how long it has been since these oils were a part of their daily preventive health regimine, and when their condition first presented. There will usually be a relationship (correlation).

I removed the additon for the following reasons:

  • It sounds more like I would expect to read in advertisments than in encyclopidary articles. Compare it to how the other alternive treatments are described there and you will see what I mean.
  • Style and sources. The first sentence is already problematic. "Psoriasis must be treated from the inside out." according to who? Topical therapies seem to work as well as internal ones. Also don't refer to the reader "Talk to an internist or homeopath about" - "An internist or homeopath should be consulted" says the same thing.

Basically I removed it for those three reasons - reads a bit like an advertisment, incorrect style and lack of sources. And no, I don't work for the pharma industry as you suggested. I'm an IT student. CharonX/talk 10:54, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
