An image that you uploaded, Image:Singleton - Benjamin Pap.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

While I like the picture and wish it could stay, it is copyrighted. Unless you have written permission from the Kansas State Historical Society to post the image, it will have to be deleted. StudierMalMarburg 22:25, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Answer: I how now received a signed permission form from the curator of Kansas State Historical Society for the use of said image. I shall gladly pass on her email address and/or a copy of the form if Wikipedia's editor asks for it. (Ablichfeldt)

If you have permission from the KSHS, then go ahead and repost the picture as you did before. However, this time when you upload the image be certain to post on the image page that you have specific permission for the KSHS. StudierMalMarburg

Hope Savage moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Hope Savage, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Notice

The article Henry Savage, Jr. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

18th century mayor of a small town in South Carolina. Meets neither WP:GNG or WP:NPOL.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
