Speedy deletion nomination of File:Neha Sharma 2110.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Neha Sharma 2110.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - If the picture was actually released into public domain, the picture owner themselves will need to do that release (we don't just take your word for it). If they actually want to do so, please have them follow the instructions on Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:31, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

- Either you are misunderstanding how copyright works, or you're deliberately trying to circumvent it. Earlier today, you uploaded the same file, saying that the owner gave you permission to use it. Now, you've uploaded again, claiming it's free. The simple fact is that when someone takes a photo, they own it, period. Unless they explicitly state, when publishing it, that it's public domain, it is not free. If you look at [1], you'll see the picture is right there, with a watermark on it. You cannot take pictures you find on the internet and upload them to Wikipedia unless they explicitly state that they are in the public domain, that they are CC-BY-SA licensed, or you know for certain that they are old enough not to be copyrighted (I don't remember the rules for India, but, in the US, it's something like 75 or more years, clearly not applicable to Sharma). If you continue to attempt to upload copyrighted pictures to Wikipedia, you will be blocked, because we have to protect the site from copyright violations. If you have questions, please ask them here, and I'll try to help. Qwyrxian (talk) 07:55, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
