Can I ask what your source is for the new kits for the 2010 world cup here. Some of these haven't been released yet and I couldn't find pictures of those ones anywhere on the web. Dorkules (talk) 00:02, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've started a conversation about these articles at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Formula One#Cars of 2009 Formula One season. Apterygial 12:10, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have redirected both articles to respective season articles. They do not serve any particular purpose that is not achieved through existing articles and categories. Your thoughts on this are welcome at the discussion link provided by Apterygial above and feel free to contact me on my talk page on the matter. Thanks. LeaveSleaves 12:45, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article you created at Abdul Qayyum Ahmad was eligible for deletion without further discussion under criterion A7 in the criteria for speedy deletion as an article about a real person that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject. Since it appears to be about you I've moved it to your user space instead, which was probably what you intended in the first place (a common mistake among newcomers!).

If you really did mean to create an article about yourself please be aware that this is often considered a bad idea, even if you do meet the guidelines for inclusion of biographies.

I know Wikipedia can be confusing for new editors, so you are welcome to ask for help at the help desk or on my talk page. --bonadea contributions talk 10:03, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:SportingLucchese.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 11:02, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Abdul Qayyum Ahmad

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Abdul Qayyum Ahmad requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion tags

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Abdul Qayyum Ahmad, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.

Once again, please do not create articles about yourself. Use your user page instead. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 07:29, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In line with the spirit of Wikipedia:Protecting children's privacy, the article, user page & template you created have been deleted as they contain identifying information. A tag has been placed on Abdul Qayyum Ahmad requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Orphaned non-free media (File:UEFA Champions League new logo.svg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:UEFA Champions League new logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:07, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Adding a list of tournament sponsors to this article is not encyclopaedic, and you haven't even provided a source. I have therefore reverted your edit. – PeeJay 20:13, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Pak Tuo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Fair use rationale for File:PartyPokerRacing.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:PartyPokerRacing.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? feydey (talk) 17:08, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

I suggest you to stop marking existing images for speedy deletion without a proper rationale. Old football club logos can still qualify for inclusion in the main club article, as they are part of the history of the club itself, and should not be deleted. Also, orphaned fair use images do not really qualify for speedy deletion per WP:CSD. I also encourage you to start reading the Wikipedia guide at WP:HELP and get a real touch of how Wikipedia works before making improper edits. Regards, --Angelo (talk) 14:58, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been warned about this, and yet still continue to mark images such as this File:Rodengo Saiano Logo.png incorrectly. Please consider this a warning that you could be blocked if you continue to make improper edits after being warned. Skier Dude (talk) 21:49, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning

[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you add an inappropriate image, as you did to File:Luca Badoer.jpg, you will be blocked from editing. I will no longer tolerate uploads of pictures under false claims of being made by yourself despite clear evidence of the contrary, or any other kind of inappropriate behaviour on Wikipedia articles and images. --Angelo (talk) 08:22, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Categories an non-free images

On Wikipedia non-free images are limited to being shown in 2 places - their own file page (unavoidable) and in articles. Any other use is a violation of policy.

This means that categories containing non-free image must include __NOGALLERY__.

Or creating image categories without it as you did with Category:Portuguese football logos.

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Sports broadcasting contracts in Indonesia. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sports broadcasting contracts in Indonesia. What is the reasoning for changing the badge from Russia football association.png to File:Coat_of_Arms_of_the_Russian_Federation.svg? --IJK_Principle (talk) 20:59, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Formula One sponsorship liveries (Former Teams), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.wheelsofitaly.com/wiki/index.php/Formula_One_sponsorship_liveries. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 12:41, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You can ignore the above message, the bot has identified a mirror of the original page from which Formula One sponsorship liveries (Former Teams) was branched. However, I have started a discussion about the new article here. DH85868993 (talk) 22:18, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Formula One sponsorship liveries

[edit]

In January you erased quite a lot of information from Formula One sponsorship liveries. You shouldn't do things like that. I have reverted it (I hope I got it all right). If you want to have some major change like that done to the purpose of the page, it should be discussed first. John Anderson (talk) 14:43, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 02:20, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Bundesliga-Logo-2010.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bundesliga-Logo-2010.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Hi. Please don't use football kit images that feature extraneous detail, such as sponsor's logos, and that don't have a transparency layer. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of association football rivalries, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Borussia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Template:Interwetten Racing (MotoGP) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

team is defunct four years ago

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:AC Lumezzane.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:AC Lumezzane.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
