Information icon Hello, I'm M.Bitton. An edit that you recently made to Ottoman Algeria seemed to be a test and has been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! M.Bitton (talk) 22:35, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Ottoman Algeria. It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. M.Bitton (talk) 22:41, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Ottoman Algeria. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. M.Bitton (talk) 22:46, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Why are you trying to change the map? M.Bitton (talk) 22:47, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

More specifically: why are you deleting the sourced content? M.Bitton (talk) 22:52, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said previously, if you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. M.Bitton (talk) 22:59, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
