[edit]Hello Aayushma Sharma. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Aayushma Sharma. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Aayushma Sharma|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Cordless Larry (talk) 09:28, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, Cordless Larry. I am a student of Prof. Wibool. I am studying under his surveillance. However, I am not getting paid by him neither by the institution. He is a well renowned person in our university (KMITL) and he has contributed a lot in Thai society. I wanted others to know about him and his works. So, I am helping him to create a biography page on Wikipedia. I have followed the format of these pages (Feng Zhang, Olav Solgaard) to create this page. I hope this answers your concerns. Moreover, I do not engage in any activities that violates the principles undisclosed paid editing. Thank you. Aayushma Sharma (talk) 07:51, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- OK, but this means that you still have a conflict of interest, so I suggest reading and following the guidance at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Cordless Larry (talk) 08:53, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Please help! When could I remove this tag from the article. I would like to have some examples on how I still have a conflict of interest. And, could you check the article again and provide necessary suggestions and edits onto it in order to follow Wikipedia's policy and guidelines so that I can publish the page. Many thanks! Aayushma Sharma (talk) 11:59, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- As you state above, you are Wibool's student. That's a very clear conflict of interest, which should be obvious from the opening sentence of WP:COI. As such, you should avoid editing the article yourself and definitely shouldn't remove the maintenance templates from the article. I see you've been discussing this at the Teahouse, so I suggest following the advice you get there. Cordless Larry (talk) 19:50, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- Many thanks for the response. Could you please check the article and provide necessary suggestions and edits onto it in order to maintain Wikipedia's standards and policies. I have now adjusted the words to make the article in neutral point of view so I would like to request you to delete the statement "This biographical article is written like a résumé." Thank you again. Aayushma Sharma (talk) 10:12, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Wibool Piyawattanametha. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you.
